pt.1: the first encounter

i love how you wrote them meeting and discovering they’re mates. the whole world stopping to the weight of this moment felt magical and realistic for an a/b/o setting. his intense ass gaze had me weak in the knees

mandarin being one of his scents...i fucking love mandarins. i always huff them before eating cuz they smell that good to me (i'd probably do the same if i ever got to eat tyun)

pt.2: the first date

beomgyu is such a real one for calling out jungwon’s shitty behaviour 👏👏 FUCK jungwon 😡 what an asshole. he's still acting like that even 6 months AFTER what happened >:( (i can’t believe u made me hate this irl cutie patootie. the irony of irl tyun loving irl jungwon vs them in this series is so funny)

in every universe, he is multi-talented…and in every universe…he denies his cutie patootieness *sigh* i love that you integrated all these lil nods to irl tyun. it makes it feel more like him :3

the addition to reader's lore!! good on reader’s mama for leaving that sorry excuse of a man. like mama like daughter. i'm so glad reader got out of that abusive cycle.

taehyun coaxing out her past trauma and rewiring her associations to certain things to be good rather than bad 🥺 taehyun delicately picking out the thorn from jungwon’s manipulation🥺 he was so tender and caring and sweet. i love that they genuinely spent time together outside of being absolute horn dogs for one another. building up that relationship before claiming one another 🥹

“because he makes submission easy” this is genuinely the first time i’ve properly separated submission from a sexual context. she’s being so open and vulnerable and submitting to him let taking care of her. letting herself become so unguarded and open to his love 😭

the addition to their relationship’s lore with how he felt when they first met. ngl, at first i thought he was just the kind of guy to do things the 'right way' romantically...but it really opens up that he just wanted to do her right because he wants to. also, i loved how their bodies were mirroring how their talk in their first encounter was

them riling each other throughout the date. him stealing kisses that make her breathless at every traffic light (may they have car sex at least ONCE in their relationship)...fuck they’re both such teases for each other. i love that reader isn't timid or a broken shell of a person after jungwon. she's super cheeky and flirty with tyun!! i'm so proud she knows what she deserves 🙂‍↕️

the worship, praise and thanking scene had me so happy. so fucking good. it is exactly what i wanted and you DELIVEREDDDD!! him initially being conflicted about her giving and him receiving added an extra depth to his character. her saying she wanted his pups and fucking doubling down that she wants them to look like him??! this poor boy's brain is short circuiting

i can so see summer holidays where reader is drooling over lifeguard alpha tyun. perhaps yeonjun brings his mate over that summer too and they're all housing together!

alpha!tyun as a husband (i just swooned at the word skgjfbjk) and a father??? i feel like he'd go absolutely feral when they make the decision to start a family. i can totally see him growing produce in their backyard garden. making sure she and the pups in her belly are fed well. making her meals based on the size of fruit or veg their pup is at. he'd be the most detail oriented and attentive father, while making things super fun for them (e.g. ep 8 of txt's parenting diary....fuck he looked so good in it)

final thoughts

i genuinely never wait for series to update. i usually don't bother if it is incomplete. but holy shit i've waited probably since the first or second part of this series?? well worth the wait :3 i really really enjoyed the depth you gave them and the sexual tension to sex scenes was scrumptious

i genuinely need to pluck taehyun out of this series and keep him for myself. i got insanely possessive while reading this. he is the definition of devotion ah what a mannnn *fans self* i love when men actually want their partners

YOU GUYS. The Trixter show last night was awesome! They played songs from every era (including the covers album and PJ's solo work) and are 100% on top of their game. They ended up playing electric instead of acoustic, which honestly I prefer (although of course I would have loved it either way). It was Steve Brown's birthday (hence the balloons on the stage), and we sang happy birthday before cake was passed around the crowd.

You can truly sense the bond that Steve and PJ have after all these years of playing together. They have so much stage presence without fancy sets and such. They know how to keep the audience attentive with little stories about the songs and the band throughout the years. It was just amazing overall.

I got to meet them after the show! They were so nice. That pic with Steve is actually on the stage - long story short, a friend knows a guy. I was starstruck and babbling but he was cool about it. I got PJ to sign my jewel card from the first CD, and he said, "This is in too good of condition!" So I had to explain that I had it on cassette (still do!) but that had fallen apart so I eventually bought the CD.
