Molly has been indoctrinated into Giovanni’s Crime Cabal! What devilish thing shall he first do to warp our impressionable protagonist’s mind?

Ah yes, Giovanni has his priorities in order.

You have a minion named Ben... speaking of which, Giovanni must be more impressed by Molly’s skills than Ben’s to give her a nickname before him. Which, in all honesty, seems pretty understandable.

Honestly, I probably should have guessed that, considering it’s the name of the episode and fits with all of the other minion names...

To be fair, I think Molly would have accepted any name you gave her, the fact that it includes bear in it is just a bonus.

Ooh! Indus and Lady Mera backstory!

But, I remember in the intro there was clearly a panel showing an obviously younger Lady Mera and Indus... and yea here,

That looks like a Mera at Molly’s age, and it’s hard to tell under all that beef but even Indus looks a little younger, so I don’t think Indus is telling the whole story here.

Well, at the very least Lady Mera isn’t diabolical enough to do tax evasion...

Meanwhile, if there was someone who deserved to evade doing their taxes it’d be you Molly!

PLease someone get these children more responsible guardians...

Epithet Erased Episode 2

Bear Trap, and her sidekick Giovanni, in order to escape their prison have shattered the mental defenses of our stalwart paladin Indus!

These two are giving off no feeling of ulterior motives whatsoever! I’d trust them with my credit card information and the three magical numbers on the back!

In the corner you can see Molly probably enjoying this a little too much...

It’s simple maths, ya see?

These two are too powerful together... Giovanni’s dream of world domination (at least I assume that is his dream) might actually come to fruition!

And I don’t get to see more of Giovanni being manhandled? How unfortunate...

Ah, ah, ah! You’ve forgotten about the compound interest rate! Let’s see here... at a rate of 20% every action taken without repayment of the favour... doubled by the two favours owed... adding the accountant’s fee and... you still owe Molly a few more bailouts and then you’re debt free, capisci?

Got it, run around and wreck mayhem, right?

That’s a good thing, Molly! It means you still have morals and you don’t want to take advantage of people, if you didn’t have that then you’d be like Lady Mera or even worse, like Giovanni.

Thanks for making my point, Gio!

Impressionable young children and bad influences, name a more iconic duo.

A good idea! Make sure to specify that you’re in the dinosaur exhibit of the museum after dark and that your parent isn’t around and you are accompanied by a strange man in a weird outfit and that I would like some pepperoni pizza too if you would be so kind.

I do have to say that Molly is one heck of a quick study, already out paced her mentor!

Drat! Molly is once again foiled by being so easily pick up-able!

Besides being lethally adorable, at least.

And so, Molly’s start to darkness begins... we all saw it coming but we could do nothing to prevent it...

Yea, Lady Mera is probably going to be gunning for Molly’s Epithet as long as she has the amulet... not to mention what else she intends to do with it. Little does Giovanni know he’s probably more on the side of the good guys here as he only wants it because it’s treasure instead of actually using it to steal Epithets.

Though, he definitely isn’t at the top of the totem pole here... so maybe his higher ups would use it for evil instead, hmm... I vote Molly gets it for being a sweet, innocent child. That along with some new parents.

Epithet Erased Episode 2

Molly didn’t have much success in convincing Indus to abandon his orders of keeping them captive, but now Giovanni is going to do his thing!

Listening...

And with one line he already has Indus’s hooked, keep notes Molly! This might be on the quiz later!

“Oh no!”, is right Indus! You must make way to her posthaste! Lest some nefarious Villain of the highest magnitude would curtail her of the Lady’s life!

Kudos to him, he didn’t immediately run off in a random direction at the mere thought that Lady Mera is in danger, but now Giovanni has to make up a threat and the only thing around here is the viewer shy Minios... and he’s just a small bab—who could probably transform into a mountain of beef comparable to Indus, but still!

Ah, the old childhood fear of quicksand, along with sticks of dynamite and giant anvils falling from the sky right?

Atta’ girl Molly! You can be really deceitful and get your way if you just try a little! It’s nice to see Giovanni being such a good influence on you!—wait...

Epithet Erased Episode 2

Jailbreak time? Jailbreak time.

Ahh. Is she going to try and roll a persuasion check to trick Indus into leaving them unattended? Clever girl! However tricking Indus isn’t going to be easy, he’s far to dumb to be out-witted...

It’s like walking a dog, Molly! It may be ahead of you, but you’re the one leading it!

(I’m not entirely certain why I’m taking new snips of Indus every single time but I’m in too deep now.)

You’ve laid the tracks down Molly, now to see if the train departs the station...

Here, let me caption this for you, (~Indus thinking noises~)

Alright! Now you just need to leverage that favor to somehow get away...

Wow, going for the hard sell huh? I think even Indus could understand that’s asking too much, considering that Lady Mera instructed him specifically to keep them there... here’s to hoping that Indus’ golden retriever-type disposition extends to his attention span as well?

Also, I’d like to point out that there’s practically no trickery going on here, Molly’s just, asking, to be let free and let’s be honest who could say no to that face?

The fact that he’s giving this some serious thought (well ‘serious’ and ‘thought’ relative to the Indus Normal Value or, 'INV') bodes well to Molly being able to convince hi-

Y’know what? I can see this behavior being entirely Molly’s Dad’s fault and I don’t like it one bit.

Another session down and we get to see Giovanni bring Molly outside of her comfort zone and into getting what she wants! While he’s also technically using her for his own gains it’s hard to tell if Gio is even considering her as anything else beside a new rookie in his gang at this point...

Despite the problems that he’s going to inevitably drag Molly into, I’m beginning to think that Molly and Giovanni have my favorite character interactions in the show so far, and I really hope that some of his self-confidence rubs off on Molly!
