Episode 1 - What’s Cane’s Cup’s Name? [Part 1]
[Next Chapter] [Next Part]
Leafy had been taken. That has happened twice in the past two days.
This time she wasn’t confronted by a weird number trying to make her a deal that she would hate to refuse. Now she was on a plane. The sky was grey with blue spurts throughout it. She got up and saw the tree filled with white and outlined with grey. She looked down and the ground was white. Some speckles of blue and green and gray, even some orange among other colors. Other than that it was white.
It was blinding, at least as she woke up. Leafy shielded her eyes a bit. After getting her bearings, Leafy goes to look around, maybe to try and see what this place was. Maybe so then she can find an escape.
“Hello? Hello?” She hears a voice say, a familiar voice. Leafy makes her way through the trees.
She knows that voice, she knows she knows.
It’s Book’s she eventually realizes. She continues to make her way getting closer and closer before finally seeing her. No calling for her, for whatever reason Leafy doesn’t call back. It’s Book, that’s for sure.
“Oh, Leafy!” She says like it’s a surprise that Leafy’s here.
“Hey Book,” Leafy says. “…You wouldn’t know where we are, would you?”
“No. I checked my pages too, nothing like this in them,” Book says.
That can’t be good.
“Well if both of us are here maybe there’s others we can find,” Leafy says.
“That’s a good idea,” Book agrees.
The two continue through the dense forest of trees. Looking for anyone it isn’t long before they find someone, they see a Taco. Leafy happily exits the bushes to the clearing with the Taco as Book sees the Taco and slowly walks away. Leafy doesn’t notice that.
“Taco!” Leafy says.
Then she gets closer and notices differences. Especially as the Taco turns around.
“I’m sorry, do I know you?” The Taco says in a distinctly British accent.
“No, you're not the Taco I know, sorry,” Leafy says.
Then Leafy turns back to Book, who is walking away. Trying to be sneaky about it but failing miserably on all accounts.
“Book! Where are you going?” Leafy calls to her. Book turns back around.
“Taco probably doesn’t want to talk with me!” Book calls back.
“Don’t worry! It’s a different Taco!” Leafy says. “Wait, your name is still Taco right?”
“Yes,” Taco says.
Taco’s expression implies she is somehow already bored with this conversation. Which Leafy is mildly confused by.
“She’s still named Taco though! But she’s different!” Leafy calls.
“I get it,” Book says, already back and standing next to the two.
“Well then other Taco-“ Leafy starts.
“Don’t call me that,” Taco says.
“I assume you don’t know where we are,” Leafy says. Looking back up to the sky, wishing it would change to something familiar.
“I do not,” Taco says. “This is certainly not like any void I’ve been in before,”
“You’ve been in a void?” Leafy ask.
“Yes,” Taco says. “Very confusing albeit freeing experience,”
“Maybe we should keep looking,” Book says. Looking back and forth for anyone else in this small clearing.
“Agreed,” Taco says.
The three head off into the forest and try to find anyone once again.
“If I may inquire, where are you from?” Taco asks.
“Goiky,” Leafy says. “How about you?”
“Inanimate Island,” Taco says.
“I don’t think I’ve heard of that place,” Leafy says.
“I would say the same but I somehow have a feeling that I have somehow heard of yours before,” Taco says.
Book suddenly stops. Taco, still deep in thought, is held back by Leafy to prevent her from hitting Book. Leafy and Taco look around to see two individuals past Book who haven’t noticed the three yet. The two walk out of the bushes into the clearing where the three are.
“I like can’t believe that happened, that was such a stupid challenge,”
“I know…”
“Diary?” Book asks.
“…No way,” Diary says. “The second person I find is my cousin? Moonstone did you set up a family reunion for me?”
“I did not,” Moonstone says.
“Woah Book you never talked about a cousin!” Leafy says.
“Yeah…” Book says. “Well it’s nice to see you Diary. How long has it been?”
“A while? I got kidnapped by a guy. For his stupid show,” Diary says.
“Really?” Book asks.
“Yeah, I mean this new season is better but he just made us make an entire robot,” Diary says. “For the government,”
“What’s a government?” Leafy asks.
Before Book can educate Leafy the bushes rustle and out pops a Journal. Book’s jaw drops. Everything is dead silent for a second.
“Are you sure this isn’t a family reunion?” Diary asks.
“Journal?” Book asks as tears start to flow from her eyes.
“…Hello,” Journal says as he steps out of the bush and slowly approaches Book. Who breaks the distance and hugs him.
“Wait a minute you were in a competition too?” Taco asks.
“Too?” Moonstone questions.
“Yes. How about you, Leafy?” Taco asks.
“I was,” Leafy says.
“What you about… um, Book’s… brother?” Taco asks.
“Yes, on both accounts,” Journal says. “We’re all of you… experiencing something with a weird magic figure before this?”
“…No,” Diary says.
“Unless I count as a weird magical figure,”Moonstone says.
“Yes!” Leafy says.
“Yes! Finally someone who gets it!” Journal says. Pulling himself off of Book and approaching Leafy. “What is he called?” Journal asks, he wants a specific answer.
“He?” Leafy says. “Well I don’t know if One is a he… or a she… Algebraians don’t really have gender…”
“Nevermind,” Journal says. “I thought you were going to say Mr. Hand,”
“…Mr. Hand?” Leafy asks.
“Yes! Mr. Hand!” Journal says. “He’s been messing with the show I’m participating in! I was so close to figuring it all out but now I’m here! I assume this happened because of him,”
“Where were you before that?” Book asks, tears still stinging her face.
Diary walks over to the two.
“Stop whatever this is.” Diary says and makes a hand motion slicing between the two. “Let’s find anyone else who is… around,” Diary says, maybe trying to diffuse the situation. Even she doesn’t know that.
“Great idea Diary!” Leafy says, Diary gives her a mildly disgusted look before Leafy calls out. “HELLO! IS THERE ANYONE THERE?”
Silence…
“Maybe we’re the only ones here?” Moonstone asks.
Right after she says that the bushes begin to rumble. Shaking more and more vigorously. Like a wild animal about to come out. Most of the group’s faces slowly turn into fear until suddenly. Without warning. A cup marked with Cane’s comes out.
“Well, happy birthday to me,”
[Applause Now]
“Hello?” Journal asks.
“…I don’t know you,” Cane’s Cup says.
Leafy approaches him with a smile.
“Hello there friend, what's your name?” Leafy asks.
Another rustle. This time a sketchpad pops out. Who walks out with a smile and waves at the others.
“Sup,” Sketchpad says. “Oh hey you're like… a cup from that restaurant… what was it called?”
Sketchpad scratches his “chin” before a lightbulb appears over his head.
“Cane’s! That’s the restaurant!” Sketchpad says. “So what’s your name?”
“My name is-“ Cane’s Cup begins to say.
“Woah! Is that Leafy from BFDI?” A plant with a tail points to Leafy.
“That does look like her,” A potted plant says next. He notices everyone turning to him. “…um, hi?”
“…Hello there!” Leafy says.
“Oh crap she heard us,” The one with the tail says.
“…Um, I’m Fern and this is Cattail. We recognized you from that show you're on… Cattail tried to get on it once,” Fern says.
“I was so close!” Cattail says.
“You were not,” Fern says. “We were going somewhere and suddenly we’re here,”
“Did it have something to do with a Mr. Hand?” Journal interrogates.
“…Uhhhhhh,” Fern says.
“No.” Cattail says.
“Oh come on!” Journal yells.
“Why are you so obsessed with this Mr. Hand?” Diary asks.
“You would be too if a magical mystical being followed you everywhere!” Journal yells.
“…I still feel this is somehow about me,” Moonstone says.
“Hey, it’s okay,” Fern says. “I know what it’s like to be followed by a horrible presence,”
“Really?” Journal says.
“Yup, I bet he’s here too,” Fern says.
“What makes you say that?” Journal asks.
Someone new exits the forest.
“Oh great, I’m stuck with these dorks,” A water bottle says.
“See?” Fern asks.
“…Right,” Journal says.
“…I’m not staying here,” Water Bottle says and walks away.
Nobody follows him.
“To be fair, should we be standing out here in a forest none of us know anything about?” Taco says.
Everyone stands in silence for a moment.
“That question was rhetorical and the answer was no,” Taco says.
Taco walks off, somehow almost instinctively Leafy follows her. The two are followed by Journal who is quickly followed by Book and soon enough everyone in the group is indirectly following Water Bottle. Who is trying his best to ignore the large group behind him. He knows strength is in numbers, which he currently does not have. Leaving him alone, with nobody.
Suitcase is lost.
Which is a familiar feeling but this weird misshapen forest is eating at her. She is familiar with machine made forests, growing up in one but right now… right now…
No, she needs to keep it together.
“Hello?” She has called out a million times.
No answer, no response. Nothing.
She starts to see the light drain from the world around her. She closes her eyes.
“Hello?” A response!
Only to be replaced with confusion as she sees a misshapen stop sign. Matching the forest in form.
“…What are you?” Suitcase says.
“I’ve always wondered that myself. But I’m No Way! Who are you?” No Way says.
No Way gives Suitcase a smile. That allows Suitcase to believe even if slightly that No Way is at least innocent in this situation. At least enough to give him her name.
“I’m Suitcase,” Suitcase says.
“Well nice to meet you Suitcase,” No Way says. “We should go look for others,”
“Good idea,” Suitcase replies.
The two walk in silence for about a minute before approaching a giant clearing. The two pause as they reach the middle.
“…Do you also have that feeling?” No Way asks.
“Maybe…” Suitcase responds. “Like we’re supposed to be here?”
“No, I meant like I’m hungry…” No Way says. “Well now that you said it, this does look a lot like where I’m from. Lots of big open fields,”
“Me too!” Suitcase says. “Maybe there’s a reason we should be here?”
“I have no clue,” No Way says. “…Wait, what if this is a setup for a show?”
Suitcase’s eyes go wide. Before quickly turning to a more neutral but still worried expression.
“…Let’s hope not,” Suitcase says.
“Yeah, they’re not really that fun,” No Way says.
“You were in a show too?” Suitcase asks.
“Funny you should say that, I was just leaving one right before I got here,” No Way says.
“…I just won one,” Suitcase says.
“That’s great! Wouldn’t you want to do another one then?” No Way asks.
“No, it was…bad. Plus some stuff I found at the end was not… the best news,” Suitcase says and looks away.
“Did the host not give you the prize?” No Way asks.
“No, it was the fact he gave me everything besides that,” Suitcase says.
“…What do you mean by that?” No Way asks.
Someone else steps onto the field.
“Heyo!” A spraypaint can says.
“Sup,” A bar of candy says.
“You two like dying?” The Spraypaint says.
“Not particularly…” No Way says.
“No!” Suitcase says and backs up away from the spraypaint.
“Darn, can I rob you?”
“Why are you asking us this?” Suitcase says.
Suitcase is very panicked. While the Spraypaint doesn’t seem to really care. Instead she whispers something to the candy bar.
*Kit, I don’t think this new strategy is going to work.* The Spraypaint whispers to her partner in crime.
*Trust me, just keep going lower,” Kit replies.
“How about I incorrectly file your taxes?”
“…Huh?” Suitcase asks.
“NO! ANYTHING BUT THAT!” No Way yells.
“…How about I poke you?”
“If it isn’t tax evasion I don’t care!” No Way says.
“…Fine…” Suitcase says.
The can walks over a pokes the two of them. Suitcase doesn’t react, No Way flinches a bit. The can turns to Kit.
“That was a bad idea,” She says.
“Worth a try. New environment, new victims,” Kit says.
“Who are you two?” Suitcase asks.
“I’m Spraypaint, you can call me Spray or Paint just don’t call me late to dinner,” Spraypaint says with a smug look.
“I’m Kit and I just stole your wallet,” Kit says.
“…I don’t have a wallet,” Suitcase asks.
“I don’t follow,” No Way says.
“Well then who is this?” Kit says in a bit of a taunting manor, holding a wallet and opening it. “Wait, who is Jason?”
“Look, whatever you two are up too, stop it,” Suitcase says.
“What are you, our host?” Spraypaint says.
“…Wha- No! How would that… what are you even talking about?” Suitcase asks.
“Well usually when your randomly put into a space, you have a host and a contest,” Spraypaint says.
“Yeah,” Kit agrees.
Suitcase doesn’t know what to say to that.
“Usually in my experience, the host comes to you,” No Way says.
“…That’s stupid, you sound stupid, stupid boy,” Spraypaint says.
“Wha-! I’m not stupid!” No Way says.
“…Stupid,” Spraypaint says.
“I’m not stupid!” No Way yells.
“Guys! I hear something over there!” Someone else says in the distance.
Which makes the other stop their argument (or in Suitcase’s case, stops her ability to stay calm) and look. As they hear a bunch of people coming closer. First to arrive is a Feather followed by a Plasma Ball, a Gate, and then the only person Suitcase recognizes.
“Fan!” Suitcase says.
She runs to him, to which he notices and opens his arms and they hug each other.
“…Well I guess I’m nobody! Where’s my recognition?” The feather asks.
“What did you even do?” The plasma ball asks.
“I got us out of the forest,” The feather says.
“I’m pretty sure that was Gaty,” The plasma ball says.
“Fine, group effort,” The feather says.
“That’s not even close to what I said,” the Plasma Ball says, gritting her teeth. It seems like she’s about to lose it.
“Suitcase look,” Fan says. “Plasma Ball’s like Paintbrush!”
Suitcase looks at Plasma Ball, who is boiling with rage which seemingly makes it more charged up. She has an eye patch on her, Suitcase wonders if that’s related to her temper. No matter what, Suitcase knows that it can’t be good.
“Stop saying random comparisons, I don’t even know who that is!” Plasma Ball says, overhearing Fan’s comment.
“Yeah Fan, she’s different!” Suitcase says, seeing an opportunity. “Remember that time Paintbrush burned an entire field because of how mad they got?”
“…Wait, what?” Plasma Ball asks.
“Oh yeah, that makes sense,” Fan says. “Oh wait! Suitcase, you're not gonna believe this!”
“What?” Suitcase asks.
“They’re from shows, like us!” Fan says.
“…So is my group,” Suitcase says.
“Really?” Fan asks.
Fan gently puts Suitcase down before running mach speed to the people Suitcase were with. Asking them questions about their show.
“Hey,”
Suitcase turns around to see Gaty.
“So, who are you?” Gaty asks.
“Suitcase,” Suitcase says. “Who are you?”
“Gaty,” Gaty says. “…To be fair I only approached you because you seem to be the most… normal around here,”
“I am far from normal,” Suitcase says with a smile, and a touch of relief.
Gaty laughs at that comment.
“Well at least you're honest about that,” Gaty says. “Plus I mean, us armless contestants have to stick together don’t we?” Gaty says, with a wide smile and a friendly demeanor, conveying what presumably should be a joke.
Suitcase does not take that as a joke.
“I’m going to find Fan,” Suitcase says.
Suitcase abruptly walks away, making a trail in the grass as she leaves. Gaty wonders what she did wrong. Is Suitcase embarrassed about her lack of arms? Maybe there’s something else… she didn’t seem embarrassed… more… scared? Nervous? Fearful? Like she woke up from a nightmare?
Something… like that.
“I don’t really know, he kinda came down one day?” No Way says.
“Fascinating, so he just came out of nowhere? Never seen before? By anyone?” Fan asks.
“No…” No Way says.
Fan thinks for a moment as Suitcase approaches. She stands next to him looking downturned. Fan turns around and see her and gets excited again.
“Suitcase, everyone here is from another show! I recognize all of them too! It’s so cool! Like No Way is from ITFT and Spraypaint and Kat are from BURNER, Feather is from EE, and Gaty is from the only one I haven’t heard of: TPOT, I wonder what that one is about anyway, somehow Feather…” Fan says but then is stopped by Suitcase leaning on him.
“Sorry, was that too much?” Fan asks, before noticing Suitcase’s depressive state. “…Did something happen?”
“…Yeah but it isn’t her fault, she said something that…” Suitcase says. “I probably overreacted to,”
“Eh, there’s plenty of people here, I doubt you would be the last two here anyway,” Fan says. “But isn’t it so cool? We’re all from different shows! It’s like one big crossover!”
“That’s nice,” Suitcase says, trying her hardest to be happy for Fan. “That could be why we’re all here,”
“A giant crossover?” Fan asks. “That’s the best thing ever!”
“Is it?” Suitcase says. “You want to participate in another competition?”
“Oh yeah, no, not really,” Fan says. “I mean… I did technically place last in the last season so it would be nice to beat my record…maybe,”
“I don’t want to be here,” Suitcase says.
“I get it, I don’t think that it’ll be a another season of a show, that would be ridiculous!” Fan says.
“Instead we were brought here for no reason?” Suitcase asks.
“Not for no reason, there’s plenty of reasons! …I can’t remember any of them now, but no matter what it could be for a good reason!” Fan says.
“…Fan…” Suitcase says.
“I’m just saying!” Fan says.
A Ring, a Rose, a Vase, a Gallon of Milk, and a Polka Dot pattern are walking through the forest together looking for an exit.
“Ring, How long do you think you were dead for?” Polka Dot asks.
“I don’t have the foggiest, all I remember was I woke up after falling through the floor and I was killed! Right after I woke up! Can you believe that? The one time I…” Ring says then stops. “Strange that two of us died before this. Any other similarities Vase?”
“I don’t know how long I was out either. I also don’t know who killed me, I think it was… Green? Maybe?” Vase says. “I heard his voice right before I died, behind me…”
“Well two of us died and almost all of us besides Ring were in a competition…” Polka Dot says. “What about you Milk, do you have any ideas?”
“No…” Milk says. “I have no idea why we could be here, it’s freaking me out a bit,”
“Hey, there’s no reason to be scared,” Polka Dot says.
A sudden sound comes out from the forest.
“Who is-“ Rosey begins to say.
“WHO IS THAT?” Milk yells and hits a tree causing it to crack and fall over.
“It’s just me!” A backpack comes out.
“WHO ARE YOU?” Milk yells.
“My name is Liam!” Liam yells.
“…What’s a Liam?” Polka Dot asks.
“Maybe it’s the… label? You know how some of us have like specific names attached to us for some reason?” Vase asks.
“…Oh yeah! One time I met a guy called Suzan,” Rosey says. “He didn’t like being called lazy,”
“I did have a few people I knew like that too…” Ring says.
“Not this again,” Liam says. “Okay, where I come from this is a normal name. Having a name like I presume… Ring?”
“…I guess that was obvious,” Ring says.
“Yeah, for you guys that’s normal. For me if a kid was named that would be insane!” Liam says, putting his arms up in frustration.
“We understand… are you okay?” Vase asks. Slowly approaching Liam, trying to provide a greater sense of ease to him.
“…No! I’m trapped in a random place again!” Liam yells.
“Hey, I’ve been there,” Vase says. “Literally, they killed me in there,”
“…Oh, I’m sorry,” Liam says.
“No worries, I got better!” Vase says.
“Right… sorry, I’m just frustrated,” Liam says.
“We all are,” Ring replies.
Ring says with some venom but it doesn’t exactly come out like she wants it too. Liam pretends he didn’t hear that comment.
“Well if there’s other people, there must be more!” Milk says.
“That’s right!” Polka Dot says. “Let’s go get them!”
Polka Dot runs off, followed by Milk then Rosey, Vase then helps Liam go after them. They are all followed slowly by Ring.
Polka Dot rushes through the brush. Maybe it was a stupid idea, an impulsive one. Yet, for some reason she feels like it was the right decision. She has the energy, she only needs to keep going. …Maybe what if she?
Polka dot goes into her shape mode. Making Milk stop in her tracks and Rosey after her.
“Huh?” Milk says.
“Try going through one of my portals!” Polka Dot says.
“…One of your-“ Rosey says.
“One of your what?” Milk asks.
“Just do it!” Polka Dot says.
“Okay,” Rosey says.
She pokes her head in an orange dot and like nothing ever changed at all, she feels nothing. She looks out and it’s more forest. She takes her head out.
“Nothing, it’s the forest again,” Rosey says.
“…What?” Polka Dot says and transforms back into her object form.
“Hey, it’s okay,” Rosey says. She reaches over and pats Polka Dot on the back.
“I think we should keep moving,” Milk says. Looking forward only to see more forest.
“Yeah…” Polka Dot says.
By this point the rest of the group has catched up. Ring is still a bit behind however. As Polka Dot slows down trying to figure out what is wrong with her. That has never happened before. It makes no sense. She always had the ability to teleport anywhere!
It gets even worse when they hear rustling in the bushes. Thankfully out comes two people Liam recognizes.
“Bryce! Amelia!” Liam says and runs to hug the two and cries in their arms.
They cry too. While someone else stands awkwardly in the background. Ring’s eyes go wide, her worst nightmare has come true.
“Hello,” says the bitcrushed voice, walking around the group sobbing their tears into the grass. “…Ring!”
Ring’s eyes somehow go wider. She backs away as her former partygoer gets closer and closer.
“It wasn’t me! It was a virus, I know that’s hard to believe but you have to believe me!” He begs. His voice is terrified.
Ring continues to back up as he gets closer. She is terrified. Her eyes have to be deceiving her, how did this happen? What caused this? …What can she do?
“Hey, knock it off!” Rosey says. Grabbing him, not getting too much of a hold on him.
“Yeah!” Milk joins in and picks him up.
“Woah!” He says. “I’m innocent! I was framed for murder! Let me explain myself!”
“If she doesn’t wish to talk with you, leave her alone,” Vase says.
“Ring…” He says.
Ring can’t look him in the eyes.
“…Fine…” He says. “Put me down at least,”
Milk complies, setting him down. He walks back over to Amelia and Bryce. Who are now paying attention to the scene at hand, along with a still crying Liam though.
“I’m going to go,” He says.
“…Wait for us GPS,” Bryce calls in his monotone voice.
He takes Amelia by the hand who takes Liam by the hand. The three follow GPS. Vase takes that as an invitation to follow them. Rosey and Milk don’t know what to do. Polka Dot is still distraught and Ring is running in the opposite direction. Only to be stopped by a eyepatch.
“Ahoy! How are ye, lass?” The eyepatch asks with a smile.
Ring runs back in the opposite direction.
“Are you okay?” Rosey asks.
Ring gestures behind her.
“How be ye masterful lasses taking yer strides today?” The eyepatch says.
“…Is that a pirate?” Milk asks.
“It sounds like one but not exactly?” Rosey states.
“Wow, that's kind of insulting,” The eyepatch says in normal speech now. “I’m- I’m going to leave now,”
The eyepatch goes back into the bushes. Only to attempt to sneak around the group of girls only for them to clearly hear him as he walks past them. The group of girls decide to simply walk and try to find something.
They eventually reach a clearing.
At the same time, Water Bottle arrives quickly followed by the large mass stalking him. As people pour in. Suitcase stands by Fan, afraid of all these new people.
“Oh hey, it’s Taco,” Fan says. In a surprisingly neutral tone.
Suitcase looks and see a Taco who is in fact Taco herself, standing next to a leaf. As everyone congregates in. Everyone notices people from their own dimensions.
“Hey Gaty!” Leafy says and waves to the gate.
“Oh great…” Gaty says. She looks over to the group and sees Book. “You have to be kidding me,”
Leafy walks over to Gaty. Taco notices Leafy is gone almost instantly and goes to follow her. Book sees that Leafy is going over to Gaty and immediately Book walks away. Before turning back around to be with Journal.
GPS looks around with Bryce and Amelia around him. As he looks around he notices Sketchpad in the distance, he attempts to get out of his sight but Sketchpad is more keen that GPS thought.
“…HOLE-Y COW THAT’S A MURDERER!” Sketchpad says.
Of course that sudden announcement makes people panic.
“A WHAT NOW?” Fern who is near Sketchpad says.
“WHO?” Diary asks.
“THAT GPS!” Sketchpad says.
“I’m not a murderer!” GPS says. “It was a virus! I had no control,”
“Likely story!” Sketchpad says.
“Wait, Moonstone, can’t you read minds? Read his mind!” Cattail says.
“…Oh, right, I have powers,” Moonstone says. Trying to read GPS’ mind.
As Moonstone attempts to read GPS’ mind. GPS and Sketchpad debate if the former is a murderer. While Ring is attempting to avoid that as much as possible. A bunch of people are on opposing sides of the argument. Including Journal who thinks this can all be explained by Mr. Hand and Book desperately trying to get his attention.
“Guys!” Leafy says.
Everyone turns to her.
“Can’t we all be friends?” Leafy asks.
That, of course, only makes people more mad. Now people are yelling at Leafy and Taco is yelling back at them for being ‘needlessly cruel’. While GPS and Sketchpad are still arguing. While Book is basically screaming at Journal to not be ignored.
Suitcase gets to a mildly high position. One where everyone can hear and see her.
“EVERYONE!” Suitcase yells.
Everyone stops again.
“Fighting isn’t going to help us! We need to come together and figure out what’s going on! If we can at least think together maybe we can figure something out!” Suitcase says.
That gets everyone to shut up.
“Oh! Oh! I have an idea,” Cane’s Cup says.
“…What?” Suitcase asks.
“How about if someone won a season of a show, they get to be a leader!” Cane’s Cup says.
“Are you a winner?” Suitcase asks.
“Yea,” Cane’s Cup says.
“Okay is there any other winner here besides him… or me?” Suitcase says.
Nobody answers.
“I should’ve won,” Taco mumbles under her breath. Leafy pats her on the back.
“Okay… I don’t think that idea would work,” Suitcase says.
“What if we include second placers?” Leafy asks.
“…No,” Suitcase says.
“How about whoever is the nicest?” Leafy asks.
“I have a sneaking suspicion that you’ll nominate yourself,” Suitcase says.
“That would be a total coincidence!” Leafy says. “It would also be a total coincidence that Taco would be second!”
“I’m not nice,” Taco deadpans.
“See? She’s so humble!” Leafy says.
“How about whoever is the meanest?” Water Bottle says.
“How about whoever is not a coward!” Eyepatch says.
“How about WHOEVER HAS BEEN WRONGED THE MOST?” Plasma Ball says while eying Milk.
“I said I was sorry!” Milk says.
“Yo cool mini version of me,” Eyepatch says to Plasma Ball. “But why is it on your eye?”
“How about whoever knows the most about everyone else?” Fan asks.
“How about whoever is the most confused?” No Way says.
“How about whoever can add the most layers to this joke?” Feather asks. “Also I think we should nominate the best leaders, of course that would be me but there’s room for maybe-“
“How about whoever is the best at interrupting?” Diary says.
“How about people who have actually been on a similar situation?” Liam asks.
“That’s a bad idea,” Moonstone says. “How about whoever is the most attractive? I nominate Diary,”
“No, uh, …Backpack’s?” Suitcase guesses, Liam gives her a look. “His idea is the best one,” Suitcase says.
“My name is Liam,” Liam says.
Liam walks to where Suitcase is.
“How about we-“ Liam begins to say.
As he says that another rustle can be heard behind him. The two look in fear before a milk carton comes out.
“…I swear if that’s the host,” Cattail says.
“Who are you?” Suitcase asks.
“My name is Chocolate Milk Carton, nice to meet you Suitcase and Liam, and the rest of you,” Chocolate Milk Carton says. “Besides Cane’s Cup and Eyepatch, I already know them,”
“…Well let’s hope your the last one, no offense,” Liam says.
“I am not the last but I am the last contestant,” Chocolate Milk Carton says.
“Huh?” Liam says.
“Shhhhhh,” Chocolate Milk Carton says.
“…Do you know him?” Feather asks Milk.
“No!” Milk says, looking highly offended.
Everyone remains in awkward silence until they hear… music. They all look up to see a clock falling from the sky, only three of them recognize him. He falls down until he reaches the surface of the plain. He opens his eyes and says:
“It’s time for the-“
