My mom said earlier that avocado milk is a thing on my Asians do. Which was weird, and I was about to contradict her, but she was like “how many of your friends know about avocado milk?” (and like, the answer was actually zero…)
So! Avocado milk education time, since it’s like my favorite comfort drink!
It’s also called Avocado Sago, though I’m pretty sure that meaning would traditionally involve the ice cubes and tapioca [1st and 2nd pictures]
I’ve had the third image as my desktop wallpaper for a while as a reminder to myself to get my friends to try this mythical drink (but, as you may notice, there is a big scoop in there! so it’s much more of a bowl type drink to the general public, but I make small portions for myself in cups/mugs)
People also know Avocado Milk as all the ingredients blended, which I’m honoring through the fourth pic even though it becomes an Avocado Shake at that point. I am a big texture person, and blending the avocado into it removes the good texture balance for me.
Alrighty! Ingredients are pretty simple. The way I do it, you just need three:
* An avocado, diced into bite sized cubes (1 avocado is enough for one cup)
* Milk (I normally just use regular or 2%, but some do use condensed or one of the nut milks depending on preference)
* Sugar (to taste, I do two regular spoonfuls of it)
You plop it all in a cup and mix it around :]
Then, yummy yummy in your tummy ✨
