1. What made you ship it?

Same thing as you lol, also the fact that if they become a couple and Arya doesn’t become QITN she can stay with Edric in Dorne (when not in the north) and be much freer than she would be anywhere else in the 7K.

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

I hadn’t noticed the A. Dayne E. Stark parallel before you mentioned it, but it’s also interesting that Princess Nymeria had a Dayne husband (he was no. 3). My fav thing about the ship has to be that it gives Arya a reason to live in Dorne and she might even bring weirwoods back there, would be interesting to see some fusion of the old gods and Rhoynish water spirits (her interactions with the orphans would be so interesting).

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I was wrong, Edric realized at once. He had thought Arya a daughter of winter, carved from frost and steel by deathless Daena herself. Perhaps she was. But even winter feels the cold. “What is the purpose of vengeance if it brings you no peace?” he asked softly. “It’s not vengeance. It’s justice.” Edric held her gaze; a candleflame cupped in trembling hands. “The other suitors, then. Was that justice?” “I...” “Does killing bring you peace?”

and when they reunite months later, Edric just smiles at her and asks if he can kiss her hand or if she yanks it again and Arya just hugs him in relief that he's still alive, calling him stupid and at the same time just saying things like 'im glad you're innocent ass is still alive" asdfgh

You’re killinggggg me I NEEEDD this (the distinct lack of Edrya on AO3 is going to force me to write fic about them).

Edric is such a sweet boy who is like, totally obsessing over tomes of chivalry and courtly love and practicing his lines in the mirror. Constantly nervous about how his hair looks or if his stance is right or if, omg, does she notice my cloak is wrinkled? After many long hours of rejection, their game has to be Edric being an overt romantic and Arya playing her disinterest because she enjoys seeing him try, enjoys the attention, and doesn’t know how to reciprocate without punching him in the shoulder (she’ll learn). I also need a scene so bad where Edric is covered head to toe in mud while Arya helps him wipe it out of his precious hair.
