YES she managed to escape Anton Chigurh once YES he’s been tailing her ever since and YES there’s some strange and complicated emotions going on there 🤤✌️

A hit was put on her head n she managed to subdue Chigurh before fleeing 🫡 (and has a history of surviving fatal situations.)

Whilst Anton represents the inevitability of death/fate/etc, Edith represents the endlessly insistent and almost supernatural human will to survive. I think that’s what intrigues Anton so much, as her existence is a walking contradiction to his philosophy.

EDITH INFORMATION:

1.) Anton Chigurh isn’t the first person who’s made an attempt on Edith’s life and he won’t be the last. A big reason why Edith was able to get away is because of her experience in these kinds of situations— he didn’t have the element of shock during their confrontation. She’s been through a lot more than she lets off.

2.) The person who paid Anton to take her out is someone from Edith’s past!

3.) She’s undiagnosed autistic and has C-PTSD! Working on how to depict this in a non-offensive manner (I’m autistic myself so it’s mostly the C-ptsd part I need to research.) The heat makes her extremely irritated, but growing up everyone kinda just dismissed this as her being “weird.” She doesn’t even know she’s autistic herself. Her hat is a comfort item (just didn’t draw it here because it’s hard at an angle </3.)

4.) Adding onto point 1, she has a bunch of scars around her body. Shes not exactly insecure about them, but looking at them makes her deeply uncomfortable because of the memories attached to them.

Her VC is Natasha Romanoff and she’s 2 inches taller than Anton (because I find that funny.)

She calls Anton “Chigurh”

Anton doesn’t really call her anything. He just says “you” or vaguely calls out to her whenever he wants to speak with her.

She’s a fan of Cowboy Bepbop.

ANTON CHIGURH HEADCANNONS:

Cuts his own hair to avoid interaction with barbers (saw someone else hc this)

Type of sleeper to wake up every 30 minutes to scout the area, likely picked this up from dangerous previous hits.

Was incredibly isolated growing up. This didn’t exactly bother him as he doesn’t care for most people, but even if he tried he wouldn’t get along with others.

As seen in the drawing, I like to think his smile always looks off. It’s forced in all senses of the word, and it doesn’t sit right on his face.

Obsession for Anton is intense. Since he doesn’t care for others 99.9% of the time, people who catch his attention catch it HARD. His focus remains on them for extended periods of time.. ooooo..

His “love language” is obviously unorthodox— it’s staring. Not much of a talker, he shows that he’s interested in someone by watching them constantly. In his mind, the fact he’s giving you so much attention means something.

On the receiving end, he’d realistically prefer acts of service. Makes his life easier. Buuuut, since I wanna indulge myself and don’t care 100% for canon, he doesn’t mind physical touch. Very rarely, he’d allow you to initiate PDA.. on even rarer occasions, he’d initiate himself.. #forbiddentsundere..

Not one for academics, saw a tt headcannon that he dropped out of school and I’m adopting it. He’s incredibly intelligent, obviously, I don’t think that academic intellect is the ONLY kind of intellect— he just doesn’t care much for book-based facts. Also, his parents were probably neglectful in some way, which gave him the opportunity to just.. stop going. When he needs to learn something, he steals from a library and kinda studies it.
