As for the questions – I feel like you’re in for another long ride hahaha

How did you first hear about The Mentalist (what made you start watching the show) ?

I saw some random episodes when I was younger (I remembered some stuff about RJ and jisbon 6x22 kiss), but I’ve never watched it properly. I told myself one day I would. Last October I thought ‘why not now?’ and I just jumped in. I finished the show on December 1st or 2nd and since then I’ve been hooked!

When did you start shipping Jisbon?

Pilot hahaha

They had such unbelievable chemistry and it was an absolute pleasure to watch the little looks and touches and generally the whole married behavior. So for me it was just watching how they’ve been falling in love and waiting for whatever was to come.

Who was your favourite of Jane and Lisbon's exes?

Angela? I would love to know more about her and I feel if s7 was longer, we could get Jane sharing some stuff about her and Charlotte. I know some people feel like it would diminish his relationship with Lisbon, but I don’t think so. I think it would show how much Jane trusts Lisbon – how he can share anything with her, whether happy or painful.

For Lisbon – Mashburn. He was quite charismatic, but also never so serious, just a fling, so it was safe. I do like fics where he appears and finds out jisbon is together – extremely satisfying! Also… jealous Jane? Hmmm.

I think by now all of my TM friends know I hate Pike with burning passion. Gosh, this man is a walking red flag for me. I like when he appears in fics only if in the end he’s faced with jisbon being a real thing or Lisbon breaking up with him because she notices all the pressure he put on her. He deserves to suffer a little for all the pain he caused me hahaha

If you could crossover The Mentalist with any other show, which series would it be and why?

Castle, I think! I would love to see Jane and Lisbon interacting with Beckett. Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if Cho met Ryan and Esposito? Oh my God hahaha

Taylor Swift - Labyrinth - this one is my absolute favourite. I put it on repeat whenever I need jisbon feels. 00:18 and 'uh-oh' moment makes me speechless. This edit is just perfect.

Taylor Swift - Labyrinth - another one to the same song. It's amazing, I love it so much.

Lana Del Rey - Diet Mountain Dew - this edit is partially responsible for my 2x09 fic and I will never stop loving it. It's so hot!

The Cinematic Orchestra - To Built a Home - makes me cry every freaking time. Pure art.

Keane - Somewhere Only We Know - I was waiting for an edit with this song and when it dropped... omg I adore it so much. *ugly crying*

Gracie Abrams - I Love You, I'm Sorry - there is something so beautiful about this edit. I love it.

Meghan Trainor - Me Too - I love Patrick Jane's happy edits and this one? THIS ONE IS THE BEST.

Christina Milian - When You Look At Me - this one is Teresa Lisbon coded and let me tell you - it's so satisfying!

James Arthur - Certain Things - this one just makes me want to cry. It's so soft and emotional. Perfect.

Adele - Love In The Dark - I love Adele and I love jisbon (and I love jisbon pain.)

There was an edit for Muse - Starlight and GOSH, did I love it. I had it bookmarked on twitter, but apparently it's been deleted. I'm so sad about it, people deserved to see it!

Lilac Wine - this fic has destroyed me. I love it more than I can put into words. I'm also catching up with some chapters of Silver Lining and I keep screaming - it's so freaking good.

if I loved you at the start then I would love you at the end - 6x02 angst, Jane "kidnapping" Lisbon. So much fear and pain and longing. This fic is legendary.

Gray Vests and Golden Crosses - I love 7x02 angst and the vest.

Jealousy is a Familiar Friend - this was just amazing. Mashburn coming back in s7, Jane being jealous, the reveal - OH MY GOSH.

Anything by @someonesaidcake (I love Felice), but especially does anyone know who you are?, Blackjack favours the Bold and Purple Sky and Paper Flowers.

@queeenpersephone has written me the fic, so it's obviously my absolute favourite. I'm getting ready to finally read dayspring - I can't wait for the unhinged Jane!

thread of gold by @margaretintherain - I love 6x10 fics so much, this one is just perfect. It's soft and raw and so good.

VERY MUCH AGREED. Those VO videos make me BLUSH. HARD. AND SWEAT PROFUSELY. Like I immediately turn into a giddy, feet-kicking dweeb (especially for Rex... for reasons). Also, very much agree that the edit style is GREAT. The Howzer and Gregor one made me giggle maniacally, because the quotes used are VERY fitting (particularly for Gregor LOL).

(also pls slash responsibly because I was side-eyeing that note about the Howzer and Gregor video for a second hahaha 😂😅)

oh rai. not only are they amazingly gifted in their edits and gifs, they are also an amazing human. rai was the first person i ever had the guts to interact with in the TOG fandom, and actually was my first ever interaction in a discord server. because of how sweet and kind they were to me, i stayed in that server, and in the TOG fandom. it’s also because of her I got into JATP. most of all, i admire their tenacity in ensuring safe spaces for fans of colour, and i have fate in our future because of people like her. these spaces are just as important as those in real life and rai never shies away from ensuring that everyone pocs have a place to call their own in fandom. so i thank you for that. also, when i think rai, i think of nile (freeman) even if she’s most only in JATP now, and that can only mean good things.

you’ve probably seen me reblog her and go ‘ana is right and she should know it’, because honestly, yeah. ana is and she should know. if you love TOG and luca marinelli and you’re not following her, there’s something wrong with your algorithm, because she should be on your dash, now. i adore her not only for her edits and gifs but just *chefs kiss* commentary on anything really. she can talk about how much she hates bananas and i’d slam the reblog button so hard to the next universe i’m not kidding. i mostly talk to her in asks because i just can’t help myself, but every time it’s the best interaction. she is amazingly sweet and talented. everyone deserves to see her work.
