Permaculture flower border: so this project is coming along quite quickly. I’ve been moving a few things across to the border from other parts of the veg beds and garden. Plants I’ve moved in so far are chamomile, garlic chives, onion chives, Welsh onion, rat tail radish, forgetmenots. I’ve sown flower seeds which are a combination of wild flower seeds and my favourites: borage, calendula, Californian poppy. I’ve got some metal grills over this section because the local pigeon population thought it was an all you can eat seed buffet! It’s been tough settling in the seeds in the current drought and all I’ve been doing is chucking the rabbit’s yesterday water when I give him fresh water in the morning. We have a water butt however water is such a precious resource at the moment. We’ll see how the flowers get on. Plan B will be to move borage, calendula and Californian poppies from other beds. #polyculture #permaculture #edibleflowerborder #ediblelandscape https://www.instagram.com/p/COF2v6kn3hM/?igshid=d7zf0udmtu9b
