So I think this is going to be this years project (along with growing food for winter). An ornamental edible border. I was inspired by Mark Diacono’s book on the New Kitchen Garden as a starting point. So this border has cardoons and globe artichokes, an apricot tree for the tall plants. Middle plants are a baby blueberry bush and a Szechuan pepper (which move slightly as it scratches me often). There’s a red valerian, oregano, various thyme. I’ve moved a free lemon balm that found me. I wonder where this adventure will take me. Currently moving edible perennials in from other bits of the garden. I have lots of ideas from the seed sowing that I’m doing right now. Any reading suggestions for further inspiration? (I’m rereading alys Fowler’s Edible Garden and a Joy Larkcom book) #edibleflowerborder #beautifulvegetables #ornamentalediblegarden https://www.instagram.com/p/CNkBZZqHu42/?igshid=1vr8x3urjjvn
