Kylo approaches the blond male quickly, boots heavy on the metal flooring beneath him. One hand is clenched into a fist and the other lays on the hilt of his saber. He stops when he’s almost in touching distance of the male, a robotic breath leaving his mask before he speaks.

“ and you’re here why? ” most times when someone defected and ran off somewhere, they were left alone. that doesn’t ever seem to be the case with Cason. someone always finds him in one way or another. there’s a slight scowl to his lips, but he reaches up, rubbing at the scruff on his chin a little and letting his hand drop, his hair in disarray. he looks nothing of the General he had once been.

❝ it’s not so bad, this place... ❞ by not so bad, rey means rather that the outpost is as much memorable as it isn’t. it’s an outpost. the influx of ships that span generations have seen more action and more history than most pilots. species of all kinds mixing together bring in enough activity to keep anyone entertained. lively marketplaces display as many colorful goods as they provide cover for black market transactions. and it’s also....an outpost. rey knows them, lived near them, has seen enough that they all run together. batuu is different because the stakes are higher.
either way, she looks at people who have made it their home and wonder why. why, when if there was an opportunity, you could see the galaxy?
