You can see, however, once our beloved Emma starts writing Match how I instantly had high, high expectations for her. She not only gave a true adaption that was inhabited with the spirit of the original story, but FotH was a story of its own, breathing true and free and all on its own. The girl DELIVERS, what can we all say? So surely, such a masterpiece cannot be matched so quickly, so soon, surely Emma’s muse needs to take a like six month vacation and drink some reviving margaritas off in the distance or something. But never you fear, readers. As soon as I read the first chapter of Match, I breathed easy. We do not match what we wrote before- we grow beyond it. Isn’t that the true surprise of creative life for you?
