I've felt like I've been going crazy about this, and I NEED to say something, I may not have a big of a voice on any platform, but I still have a voice.

Recently I've been getting these videos on my feed, mainly Instagram reels. All of them are like this video and its always the same thing. They start with a dirty cup of water, explain the water is dirty because of AI datacenters, talk about the dangers of AI and the as for mentioned data centers, AND THEN PROMOTE AN "ECO" AI SERVICE CALLED ECOGPT.

When I saw two of these videos I didn't bat an eye, but I knew they we're similar. I just figured the two creators stole each other's videos because that happens all the time...but when I got a third, fourth, and fifth, I knew something was off. All of the videos we're far too similar, like a script. And that's when it hit me, these people are probably getting paid by EcoGPT to talk about the dangers of data centers and then promote an ai service without disclosing that it's an ad.

The reason why I'm so upset about this is because if I'm right about this being an undisclosed ad then they are using A REAL GENUINE PROBLEM OF PEOPLE NOT HAVING CLEAN WATER OR ANY WATER AT ALL BECAUSE OF BACKYARD DATA CENTERS to fearmonger people into using their "eCo" AI service...absolutely disgusting if it's true.

I heard instead of wasting clean water like every ai, it actually like- helps people plant trees and rebuild coral reefs (from what I’ve heard)

Hey hi, don't get me wrong i used chatgpt and google as much as the next person. but we're out here stressing about the climate while using tools that are basically ignoring it meanwhile there are options that actually do something and still do the same job if not better.
