Welcome to the Eclipsing Bingo page and masterpost! In this post alone you'll be able to find everything you need (or at least the links to take you there) to understand and take part in this bingo.

This is a everlasting bingo so you can take as long as you need to fulfil it. Once you finish a bingo sheet, you can also apply for a new one, getting a completely new set of prompts unless you specify one that you previously had.

As said earlier, this bingo is for all and any fandoms so feel free to write for anything that you are interested in.

There will be an example bingo sheet on the FAQ page if you are interested in seeing what the sheet you'll be getting may look like.

Ao3 Collection

One. You must fill out the forms sheet in full to make sure you get a bingo card that is best suited for you. Make sure to read it and double-check your answers because if you fill out something wrong it may change the whole of the bingo card or I may not be able to get it to you as you have typed in a username wrong.

Two. You can always request a new bingo card but we encourage you to do it only after you complete an already existing bingo card. If you get a 3x3 card and wish to get a new one, you must complete all 9 prompts on it. If for some reason you really don't want to or can't complete the already existing card, let us know and we will get you a new one.

Three. Both SFW and NSFW fics are allowed, just make sure you tag it properly.

Four. There is no word count requirement. The fic can be as long or short as you wish.

Five. If you would like to pair a prompt on this bingo sheet with a prompt from another, that is totally ok, but you might want to make sure the other bingo sheet allows it.

Six. When posting for this bingo, the fic you have created must be new. It also must be complete if you want it to be properly marked off on your sheet.

Seven. Multi-chapter fics are allowed. If doing this, only one prompt is allowed per chapter if a prompt applies. Multiple squares can't be used in the same chapter but a while fic could be based on a bingo sheet if you have the right amount of chapters.

Eight. RPF (Real Person Fics) are not allowed. This is for fandoms so let's keep it to that.

Nine. Any use of media can be used for this. I know it's been referred to as fics when reading these rules but if you would like to create a piece of art, a mood board, edit, etc., for this, you can.

Ten. You can start writing for your bingo sheet as soon as you get it.

Eleven. If you want your fic to be rebloged onto the tumblr page, make sure to @eclipsingbingo somewhere in your work so we can see it and make sure it is reblogged.

Twelve. Most bingo sheets will be sent out within 1 week of filling out the prompt. If you haven't received yours, allow a few days off buffer time before contacting us through our ask or email [email protected]

Q. How long does this event last for? A. For as long as you want it to. The bingo sheets can be used for as long as you want them. Once completed you can always get a new one. There is an Ao3 collection where you can submit your fics which will have a sub-collection for the years they were created but that is just to have them all in one place.

Q. How long does it take to receive a card after applying for it? A. Most likely in the span of a week. You may get lucky and have your bingo sheet sent to you within the same day of applying for it, or it might take a few days to get to it depending on how many people are in line for a bingo sheet or how busy the real world gets. If it takes more than one week feel free to either email or send a message through the ask box to see what's happening. [email protected]

Q. I posted a fic for one of my prompts but it hasn't been reposted. Why's that? A. We aim to repost everything that is aligned with this bingo challenge. Sometimes posts may be missed or have not shown up for us yet. You may have also forgotten to tag @eclipsingbingo in your post. If we haven't reposted your post in 48 hours go ahead and send a message to us through our asks with a link to the post and we'll make sure it is reblogged.

Q. Can I submit a prompt to be added to the list? A. Of course! On the form, there is a submit a prompt question that you can fill out with as many prompts as you'd like to see. You can also contact us and let us know if that method would suit you better.

Q. When can I start writing/posting? A. You can start posting as soon as you get your bingo card! As for writing, if you know you are getting a specific prompt on your sheet as you requested, then you can start writing whenever but we ask you to refrain from posting it until you get your bingo sheet or it won't count.

Q. What do the bingo cards look like? A. Why don't you have a look for yourself? This is the 3x3 option. Obviously the prompts on it would be different.
