Today was our first real day of HS for the year. We chose our subject to be science on Tuesdays. Our subject was the layer of the earth today! What fun!! Both kiddos colored, and did the craft. Our grade 6'er did a fictional story about traveling to the center of the earth, a fill in the blanks based on our readings and is now building a section of the earth out of legos! We used the purchased curriculum from Teachers pay Teacher to give us work sheets and matched the information from two other curriculums we have on hand. We found the craft and Lego activities on pinterest. We spent time reading our bible stories and read a chapter from the Bible (Parting the Red Sea, Exodus 14). All before 11am! We are done our school work for the day. After lunch the kiddos will take some quiet time from 1-3. The little will chill in his room playing toys etc. While my big does some journaling, reading and enjoy some quiet time. This give me time to have a break and to plan for tomorrow, clean or get organized for supper etc. 3-430 is when my kiddos enjoy free time each day, this is when they can games or have access to YouTube. This time I get to have some free time too! Which is super nice! Our schedule is like this throughout the whole year, even the summer months and weekends. We do have free days where I just don't feel like doing a million things, but I know that at 430, even on a lazy day, I can call the family to get their chores done and help get us ready for dinner. This schedule doesnt change when my bonus babies get here either, they know what needs to be done and join right in! Our scheudle is my favorite part of homeschooling. That and getting to be with my babies all the time! Having God at the beginning of our day helps us all to stay on track as well. Having time to talk about what God is doing in our lives is so important. I'm so happy with our choice to homeschool, if anyone needs advice or help, please feel free to reach out to me and I can help you along this journey! #homeschooling #schedule #eclectichippie #putgodfirst #godinhomeschool #legos #crafts #art #earth #earthlayers #homeschool #alberta #canadian #teacherspayteacher https://www.instagram.com/p/CE4jmCllHyF/?igshid=95dn07iai0qi
