Neue Steinkerne
Here the other echinoid finds from today.
Some big shard, two good near round and two bad in condition, well but good to recognice the shell pattern.
Both flint in under light, dull clear honey white color. I know the light of the photos is shitty. 🫣
Found this very nice, medium size echinoid on the sand road tracks directly near the field.
Saw it and in that moment I thought only wtf, here so near of those tracks? In front of me now ???? Colored brown like it’s sandy terrain.
Intact, full condition without cracks no fissures no damaged open parts with unknown flint core color. Has the size of an tangerine. 🍊
All of the outer shell pattern is intact, you can seen all sides, the dots, armored parts and star shape, near round like an tangerine but one side is crushed from long time ago, since the fossil formed from the minerals in the once not filled exoskeleton. Brown colored fint like the sand.
I‘am very very glad and happy about this stunning nice find. An Incredible Echinoid.
One new fragmented flint sea urchin fossil from the field rubble pile. Found today, clear orange crystal like.
So it’s looks like chalcedon, honey clear with core, no cracks. In some flint rocks, minerals fills the gone innards from the fossil in the process.
The new sea urchin fossilized skeleton as flint cores. To bad it’s to late for fossil friday.
Four in total with the fragmented clay colored not in flint. One in yellow flint with some crust.
I was again on the same locations from before, and every time i find new ones.
Again no finds or tracks of other urchin forms like the spiky or heart shaped from some other relatives. Never seen here the stings of some piece.
Precious little echinodem. :D an great find on a nice warm day today.
Also i got two new larger ceramic mugs in glazed brown earth look as container for them.

Die Fossiliensuche geht weiter !
Found some fossilised echinoderm with an handful of round amount of Aulaxinia sulcifera sponge in flint. Flint & chert are the dominant sedimented rocks here with fossil finds.
Again he and his long dead dry urchins !!
One round is fully complete with no cracks.
Echinoid yellow edition.
Here are the shown echinoids in yellow color.
Found by myself and the two from Dad decades ago ( pic 2 fist sized) 5 now in total. Some like crystalized in chalcedon and others in the last years.
So today i went to the new area of stone piles. They are older piled up than sugested, with the half side buried in sand piles, pebbles piles with a lot of moss & leaf garden dumping trash.
But i found these among more round Wallstones.
One urchin fossil & a new little urchin in flint stone matrix like the from last week.
It’s not iron stone or sandstone.
Edit: May 9 the pattern on the little brown shown now clear.
Also the trace of an new mussel fossil in gray flint rock.
