Photographer reference #1: Erik Johansson
Swedish artist Erik Johansson has been one of my favorite photo manipulator since I discovered him while working on a photo manipulation task during my previous course. He does a lot of impossible object illusions, like the dutch graphic artist Echer did a lot of. I've always enjoyed those kinds of illusions. He also has some very surreal manipulations that I just love.
Here are some of my personal favorites from his portfolio, or rather some representations of the different illusions/manipulations that he does a lot of. I would probably have put them all up since I just love all of his work really, but I cut it down to these 5. You can see the rest of his work on his webpage: http://erikjohanssonphoto.com
These 5 also shows the kind of work that I might consider to do for this project. I want to challenge myself for this project, but I don't want to set out to do something which is gonna take too much time and effort to finish in 6 weeks. These are all illusions/manipulations which I think might be a bit too hard to pull off, but maybe I might be able to do something kin to it, just on a bit smaller scale.
