My beloved Eaving Lavellan, I was so happy to see her ❤️
Great news! This scene still made me cry, ten years later!
Replaying Eaving for the first time in like nine years since Veilguard is coming out soon, and I'm very happy with how she looks this time.
For the DA asks, 3, 5, and 21 for all three of your characters
3. opinion on blood magic?
Kiva Tabris (with bonus Na'im Amell, THE blood mage) - she's very pragmatic, and if the blood mage can avoid the worst aspects of blood magic she is ok with it as a means to an end, particularly when it comes to Warden Business. As Na'im is part of my larger head canon world state with Kiva, and he is a blood mage, it's hard for Kiva to consider all blood mages as bad as Na'im is a close friend and a good Warden.
Ismat Hawke - It's Complicated. She is primarily against blood magic, but grapples with her feelings over her father's use of it to reinforce Corypheus's prison. She loves Merrill, but worries about her, especially the consequences intentional or not of blood magic. Ismat mostly wonders if there IS a way to use it responsibly, but given Kirkwall's mess isn't so certain.
Eaving Lavellan - she's fascinated by spirits and demons, but has a healthy respect for them - she is not interested in blood magic, and has a rather grim outlook on it in that it's easy to mistep and misuse it.
5. Opinion on the chantry?
Kiva - it's complicated! She's grown up around the Chantry and she almost wants to believe, but at the same time did the Chantry really ever help them in the Alienage? Seeing the shade of Shartan at the Temple of Andraste is, however, a profoundly powerful moment for her.
Ismat - takes the biggest nose dive during the events of Kirkwall. By the end, she's ready to be rid of the Chantry entirely.
Eaving - lol nope. She's uncomfortable being called the Herald, and she can't reconcile everything the Chantry has done with how the Dalish have been treated.
21. Biggest regret?
Kiva Tabris - chosing duty and political maneuvering/stability over her own happiness. Arranging a political marriage between Alistair and Anora and then recruiting Loghain to the Warden was, in her mind, the correct choice, but losing Alistair hurt her very badly. Even if she is able to find happiness later, this choice changed how open she is and really helped form a calculating and sharper Warden Commander persona.
Ismat - being unable to protect her family, each loss and harm being something she internalizes to the point of impacting her own magic.
Eaving - the combination of chosing Mythal's vallaslin and allowing Solas to remove it - if she'd had anyone else's, she would have let him, but (as I time that quest to happen after meeting Mythal) she is so betrayed by Mythal's seeming lack of care for the Dalish she lets him remove it.

Two Words meme
I got tagged by @playwithdinos to use two words to describe my Warden, Inquisitor, and Hawke (and then I forgot to do the meme until today OOPS!)
Kiva Tabris: acidic pessimist
Ismat Hawke: sorrow and hope
Eaving Lavellan: thoughtful and driven
I’ll tag @ramblingredrose, @uchidachi, @frankensteined, and @zeowynda (only you’d like to do it, of course!)
Part of a larger sketch. Finally got a version of my favorite art program to work on my new computer!
Have some blushing elves smooching!
