#eastern bumblebee

A first for me, but after snapping some pictures I noticed this bumblebee was not moving. it appears he had froze from cold temp (this happens often I just have never encountered it) I tried helping them defrost as we were suppose to get warmer weather again but was unsuccessful unfortunately, it was interesting to see though

The veggie garden is pretty much set for this summer, and I am finally using mulch (pine straw) that will hopefully make maintenance easier.

The wildflower and native areas don’t have much for photos yet since they are still small. But I will be sure to catch them when they are ready to put on a show! The arrangements aren’t aesthetically pleasing, but the placement is good for the plants and that’s all I want. The whorled milkweed that itty monarch caterpillar is on has spread like crazy! And the bumbles were out in full force on the cranesbill.
