YOB was the first band, which came to my mind after listening Collapse from Earthmass. It was a heavy combination of Atmospheric Sludge Metal and Doom Metal, but at the same time pretty "simple", repetitive and not as creative and influential as YOB. Collapse was missing all the hooks and different variations, except in the song 18 minute long final track Loom (i.Drowse ii.Barren). After all the bashing I have to say that I did in some weird way enjoy the album. Earthmass does know how to create an authentic atmosphere for this sort of music. (February 11, 2015)

Sudbury’s one of a kind Old Man Lizard and Braintree’s breathtakingly captivating Earthmass decided to join together in ‘Through the Hole in the Sky.’ To be released through Big Riff Records in the form of a 7’’ vinyl on April 19th, 2014 - Record Store Day.
