Writing prompts
In the event that you need to improve as an author, the best thing you can do is work on writing each and every day. And with our writing prompts, you have the idea you need to spark that creativity in you!
#1) Your twin had been missing for days and you’d been worried sick. In about a week, the local authorities found their body hanging from a tree and a note stitched on their belly, “got the wrong one.”
#2)  You wake up on a Sunday morning ready to get yelled at by your foster parents. But you notice that the world around you doesn’t seem normal… Everything looks animated. You get frustrated trying to understand where you are, and it hits you, you’ve seem to have taken the place of the character you hate the most from your favorite anime/TV show. And the only way to get out of there is by killing three of your most favorite characters.
#3) Character “A” has double personality type that they’re unaware of. The twist is that the personality is always different when using a particular object associated with them. Like a reading glass for example; the person is their usual self with the glasses on and a completely different person without them. What happens when they accidentally lose the glasses during their wedding?
#4)  One fine afternoon, you fall asleep on your writing desk. The next thing you know is that you’re stuck inside your own story, and every character inside the story has been replaced by a contrasting personality from your own world.
#5) Â You found a lost phone, and apparently it was from the year 2087. You use an app on the strange piece of tech to talk to a stranger from the future, but you never expected them to be the grandchild of your crush/celebrity crush.
#6) Â You killed a character for the epic ending of your novel, but the character turns into a ghost and comes back to haunt you.
#7) “I’m the copy of the copy. The original piece is in the lab, they’re about to destroy it.” “So you’re here to save it?” “No. I want to make sure they destroy it.” “Because…?” “That version is the cuter me.”
#8) Â The monster under your bed has a crush on you, but every time they try to tell you that, you hit them with your pan.
#9) Your imaginary friends are turning real day by day. Only, the more real they are, the less alive you feel.
#10)  I’ve hated myself for too long, but apparently nothing can put an end to my misery. How ironic is it that the one who craves death more than anything, is the Grim Reaper himself?
#11)  Your character lives on a planet other than Earth. In fact, they don’t even know Earth exists. Well, they didn’t until a space mission went horribly wrong and their pod ended up crashing on Earth. What is this weird planet? How do people here not know what lies in the darkness of the sky? Most importantly,  why are the other galactic forces so terrified of these adorable creatures?
#12)  The discovery of an eighty-year-old time capsule has left the kids of Ye Ran High School in perplexity. There was something off about the withered letters neatly stored in them… They seemed to have been written blood. Oddly enough, only the MC and their friends seem to have noticed it yet. What happens when the MC realizes all the letters in the capsule were written in their own handwriting?
