Something I've always wanted to know: will people get upset if I worship the Netjeru in a more modern way ? I have very limited resources and often resort to digital shrines and journals. I've dedicated a digital journal to Djehuty and a digital sun shrine to Ra that I created. They seem to be okay with it, but I'm not sure if that's something I'm able to be open about in the community.
nah, its totally fine in our community. i've seen digital shrines, digital offerings, digital spells, emoji spells. i've seen minecraft servers with temples and digital rites being done. you name it.
i don't have many tags with examples, but you may find the e-shrine tag useful. you could also see the techno witchcraft tag.
it's definitely a Thing.

I have made several Netjeru E-shrines, if anyone is interested. They’re not polished up real nice yet, but I’ll get there. The top ones are the deities I work with or am familiar with most. The bottom ones are deities I’m trying to get to know better:

How do you make an eShrine?
Well there isn’t a singular way to go about it. But usually you get an online space that you dedicate to the god(s) you’re building it for. And then you post or reblog stuff that makes you think of them.
Could be your own content, such as devotional pieces you’ve written, drawn or made. Or it could be other people’s content that is either specifically dedicated to that god, or reminds you of said god.
Another possibility is reblogging food items as a form of digital offerings. Same could be said about images and gifs of candles and incense, etc.
No hard or fast rules, there is a lot of room for interpretation. So it really just depends on what you feel, or what the god(s) requests.
