This week I got caught in some kind of mental loop and played @drinkyourvillainjuice 6.5ish times (the most recent one is redoing the first one so it doesn't really count). Consecutively, like I would restart the moment I finished each run. Over time my character concepts evolved from "shy, surreptitious Dion simp" to "She's had practice playing the villain, but is there even a person under all those masks?"
like I have been on an interactive fiction kick in general but dyvj is on a whole different level of complexity and quality. I am chewing on this world (the texture is gooey...?). It's probably less than 10 hours to read in total and I recommend it so much-- it's like the best of both worlds of a really good scifi novel and a really good horror game with comedic elements. and so so queer.
unrelatedly, I'm sure, I left the doctor's office the other day with examination referrals for ADHD and bipolar II disorder
my mc for @drinkyourvillainjuice ! alice carol aka wonderland. juice addicted showboater. her switch flicks when she goes villain mode and she gets very theatrical, otherwise she's kinda prickly.

I'll be honest with you. I've known about this game for a while, but was hesitant to play it because I thought it is a comedy or a parody of the superhero genre. And to play as a comedic villain⦠well, not my thing. But oh boy, was I wrong.
Drink Your Villain Juice is such an incredibly tragic game! It's painful, sad, and spine-chilling. Your main character suffers so much, endures agony fully. I can remember only a few games where the protagonist suffers so much. This is not a comedy at all; it's a genuine emotional explosion for readers.
And also I love games in which your character's details are important (height, weight, appearance, gender, sexual prefrences). These small details are incredibly immersive, making the game more alive and thoughtful. I highly recommend it!
