you’re everything #poetry #free verse
You’re an immaculate.
Independent,
Irreplaceable, different.
always on my mind.
Not having dysmorphic disorder body type,
Like girls your age.
Whose straight noses flatter to deceive;
Men with God given talents.
Men who love women who are content with themselves.
I know you love men like me who do pushups.
Men who have athletes’ biceps and grilled torsos.
Men whom your friends and secret admirers asked me about.
I love your chubbiness though.
Never mind your friend’s silky soft skins,
Legs long like models on catwalks.
Your radiant skin is reason enough for me to want to hold you.
Up or down and however you’d may like me to;
Draw a line on the sand to have the world know that you’re mine.
I love your dark skin and plump face.
