Dylan Forever. Germany. May 2018
Camille and Dylan Rieder by Mark Oblow.
“You turned my world upside down. Your fire is something I had never experienced before. You lived with such passion, loved with such passion. My best lover, my best friend. It’s tragic because we all think of you as a superhero but even in your last moments you were heroic. I am beyond honored to have spent these moments with you. Your family that I consider my family, your friends that have become best friends. Thank you Dylan. Anyone who has ever had the honor of meeting you knows how fucking gentle, sensitive, beautiful a person you are. You’ve inspired so many and will keep on doing so. Dylan, I love you forever.”
R.I.P. Dylan Rieder (26 May 1988-12 October 2016)

true blue.
The thing about skateboarding, and if you asked mostly any skateboarder is that it’s an art form in itself. You use the same techniques to express yourself skating as you would drawing or taking a photograph. It’s all different forms of art. The beautiful thing about skateboarding is that so many skateboarders are musicians, photographers and artists themselves. It’s one of those creatively expressive outlets. We all have a common ground, and everyone’s a weirdo and introverted and I think that’s one of the reasons why we become skaters or artists. It’s something that has nothing to do with a coach, a team telling you how to be. You figure it out yourself on your own fucking terms. - Dylan Rieder
