Okay guys... So I’ve been trying to get this in order and it’s been crazy, but I think I’ve got it up to date now. This is just a working document where I’m copying each section so that we have a full copy of the fic.

Eventually, I’m hoping to figure out a way to post the entire story and still manage to give each person credit for their words. (Open to suggestions, fyi) Until then, we can use this doc to reference what’s come before and whatever else we may need it for.

“Doctor?” 

Donna lay her hand on the Doctor’s shoulder, and he flinched away from the contact. He didn’t need any kindness right now, didn’t deserve it. Everything he ever wanted - ever needed - in all his lives was lying motionless on a bed in front of him, and it was his fault. 

“Doctor, you need to eat something.”

“No. Rose needs me.”

Donna came around so that she was in his line of sight. “I’ll stay with her. You go eat and then come back.”

“I’m not leaving Rose,” he insisted, stroking the back of his beloved’s hand. And she was his beloved. What would be the point in denying it now? “She needs me. She’ll be waking up soon.”

“If I bring you something, will you eat it?”

“Will it get you off my case?”

“For the moment.”

He sighed heavily. “Alright, fine, whatever.”

Donna left, and he went back to his intense study of Rose’s face.

Of course!

Well, it wasn’t exactly like Sleeping Beauty, but the reference made his mind reel with possibilities.

There wasn’t anything in her mind that wasn’t supposed to be there. He knew he’d recognized the telepathic signature; that was why he’d been able to get so deeply inside her mind his first go round.

The TARDIS!

Oh, his clever, clever ship! The TARDIS was protecting Rose, keeping her mind safe while her body was ravaged.

The Doctor shored up his mental barriers and tapped into his link with the TARDIS. He could feel his own regeneration energy spark inside of him as his ship helped draw a bit of it to the surface. If Rose’s body couldn’t recognize the regeneration energy tearing through her, maybe it would recognize his?

He cradled her cheeks in his palms as he lowered his lips to hers. Energy sparked everywhere his skin was touching hers. His vision went gold and his mind was engulfed by hers, and yet he dared not go deeper, trusting his ship to keep her safe. To keep them both safe.

Rose, he called softly as he carefully brushed his mind against hers. He could feel her fear and her disbelief.

You’re all right, Rose. You’re okay. But come back to me. You’ll be okay. Come back, Rose, and wake up. Please.

It was a wonderful summer night. A gentle breeze washed over Rose Tyler’s skin and made her shiver slightly since her shorts and the wide cut top didn’t spend much warmth. Lost in thoughts she looked upon the town while sitting lazily in a chair in front of the wide opened window.

Her new flat gave a wonderful view and thanks to the money she earned through working at Torchwood she could even afford it. Sometimes Rose couldn’t believe this was actually her life, sitting in a living room in London without a TARDIS or a Doctor.

So if anyone else has ideas let us know! I’m just planning on keeping track myself by probably keeping the original post open in a tab and refreshing for new reblogs. lol

Each put this up for discussion… Personally I would think as long as you tagged your portion appropriately it would be okay. But the writers before and after you would pretty much HAVE to read your part, so I can see where that could maybe cause some issue?
