In the striking modern landscape of Parliament Square in Budapest, Hungary, the raised beds are planted with Pinus mugo Pumilio Group (dwarf mountain pine). This is a spreading, low, slow growing evergreen with dark green needles in groups of two. Here it provided great texture and contrasted with the winter foliage of ornamental grasses.
