I assume this means my opinion regarding call out drama. So I for one am completely fine with call out posts SHOULD THEY PERTAIN TO AN ACTUAL REASON THAT IS UNDERSTANDABLE. However, I am not for them if they involve trivial things, and by trivial I mean ‘oh no they took my Faceclaim’ stuff like that, and by that I do not mean them stealing your Muse and Backstory and whatnot. I had drama like that in the past, and while I still think it is silly and isn’t worth a callout, it can be handled in IMs.. unless the person is belligerent about the entirety of it. STORY FOR A DIFFERENT DAY. Back onto the topic, call out posts are abused now-a-days in Tumblr’s RPC as I see many every other week or so that is about some stupid shit, now I can’t recall what I saw off the top of my head. BUT. What I will say is that I know of a ‘sub-human shitlist’ I was linked to by someone back in the day, about a year ago to be exact. Now I won’t say any names but I saw several of my Mutuals on it. Said list had over 100 URLs on it, more than half I recognized, all with their ‘respective’ callout reason behind it and a lot of it seemed to revolve around pedophilia, child abuse and all that. But there wasn’t a huge amount of.. proof, some without any at all. EVEN WORSE? People on that list were being called out simply for being Friends of the ‘called-out’ individual despite having done nothing of note themselves. I understand some that there was solid proof, but call outs now-a-days just seem to be about not liking the person and trying to get others to dislike them too without them readily having done anything wrong. They are stupid and shouldn’t exist in my opinion, but without that, Tumblr wouldn’t be the shitshow it is? TUMBLR? AN ACTUAL GOOD SITE WHERE EVERYONE GETS ALONG? Unlikely, but maybe one day.
