“huh?” anse slowly raises his hand to investigate. his forehead feels wet and when he pulls his hand away, there’s a small amount of blood coating his fingertips. “well ... shit.” a huff of a laugh escapes him. “would’ya look at that ... i am bleedin’, ain’t i?” eyes lift to meet her concerned gaze before searching for something to wipe his hand. reaching over the bar, he grabs a couple of napkins. the bartender yells something at him, but anse pays him no mind. he’ll tip him decent at the end of the night for his troubles. “don’t worry, darlin’ ... it’s jus’ a little scratch. i’ve had a lot worse.” the wound itself felt shallow when he touched it and considering he’s still able to coherently string together words to make a complete sentence, he isn’t too worried.
