This prompt, this fricken prompt. I had TOO MANY IDEAS FOR IT and this was the simplest one. The rest were all comics because how tf do I draw “the warmth of the sun in winter” because there needed to be a word for that. Thank you English(genuinely because it’s a nice word but also Why). Naturally, it had to be angsty, and Dusttale related(obviously). I chose to do my DustShift AU because I just wanted to draw Thorn, but then I had to design the Asriel for the AU because like. He’s the warmth of the sun(star) in winter(the timeloops). But i couldn’t just draw him, so i needed to make him die.

I also feel the need to explain Asriel’s design. I love the rainbow scarf, but I like him having a green one as well. 1) Chara also has green, so they’re both matching a little, and 2) Flowey reference, the scarf’s like leaves. It also has a little heart-like cut in it. And Asriel doesn’t have a normal shirt/sweater/whatever he’s supposed to wear, I wanted him to look a bit more like he’s an apprentice knight(and make it look like ut!pap’s battle body a tad).
