Summary: Ever since meeting Grace in person, Judd has been falling more and more in love with her every day. However, Grace is leaving at the end of the summer, so nothing has happened between themโฆ until Grace makes the first move.
Judd knows he shouldn't allow himself to feel so much for her, but he can't help himself. Those feelings, his feelings, can't be controlled. Everything would be easier if Judd could ignore them and then Grace leaving for Georgetown wouldn't hurt so much.
Next to him, Grace moves in her sleep, pulling Judd out of his head. She is fast asleep next to him, her chest rising and falling steadily. Her head is resting on Judd's shoulder and her left hand is lying on top of his chest, above his heart. As he takes her in, wanting to remember the moment forever, Judd realizes that this is what he wants. He wants to wake up next to Grace every morning for the rest of his life, he wants to grow old with Grace. But all he has is this summer.
