what dynamics between characters in your au are your fave?
it’s hard to pick a FAVORITE.. so I’m gonna do three that are interesting to explore! including them here does not mean they are my favorites and that I think about them a lot!! in fact I may not include the ones I do think about more. (excluding my creepypasta nicole. sorry girlie..) (also this won’t be pretty I’m also very sorry)
they share parallels! two kids, both being kept a secret from each other- that secret being a key part of who they are. sally is in extreme denial about her death, her “brain” blocking out any memory of it- only remembering her life from when she was alive. that in-between? blurred- foggy. simply can’t remember how she got here. lazari is hallucination and ignorance- seeing her victims as simply.. dessert, or food. she doesn’t know she’s eating beings with souls. if you tell them, there will be dire consequences. as well as sally starting off as a ghost being off-putting, quiet, eerie, rude, and introverted. as time goes by, she’s growing back into the personality she had alive- bubbly, still eerie and off-putting but.. more social. lazari started off the cult as bubbly, extroverted, eager and curious. now, lazari wants the knowledge gone from her memory- the cult’s teaching drilled into her brain even after she’s long separated from them. she lives in fear, fear of being a bad child.
I’m so tempted to make them date in my verse I’m gonna be honest. BUT ANYWAY. nina is an optimistic, cheerful, wanna-be fit in whilst kate has no interest in fitting in, rather following her own flow. nina has a list of.. terrible problems, and kate has proven time and time again to be the only one who was patient enough to deal with them. not JUST stand by- kate will call nina out on her own bullshit and stay and comfort nina despite the fact. because of this, nina finds herself growing more comfortable to just be herself- even if she still quite hasn’t figured who that is yet. nina doesn’t feel as pressured to put up with appearances as she does other people, because even though nobody cares- those moments just between the two of them shows that kate will see how terrible nina truly is and stay anyway. I’d explain what nina does for Kate but that’d make this too long!!
the siblings ever. these two are actually the first ones I developed, it’s a shame I don’t post about lifeless lucy more considering she’s one of my favs.. ANYWAY. lucy actually recruited benjamin, meaning that despite the distrust they had started out with, benjamin only really knew lucy- as the recruitment was a slow process. ben felt obligated to cling to the younger girl because.. well, he didn’t know anyone else. B.E.N hadn’t arrived yet, and they’re not even the best of friends. this was new to lucy- being treated like someone familiar. her very, VERY quiet demeanor was one thing- only replying in actions. but her random, angry, very viscous outbursts? it made most.. or, everyone steer clear of her to play it safe. everyone in reach, anyway. lucy attacks anyone that reminds her of her past.. just ask toby— for reminding her of her killer. this includes EVERYONE- including people nice to her, as she can’t tell the difference between who was bad and not. ben reminded her of her twin brother. lucy did try to kill him, get it over with- but technology-based creepypastas have an ability that quite literally doesn’t let them die if they choose to come back. “restart”, if you will. so he came back. again, and again, and again- and after a bit, he started joking and making light of his situation when he’s bleeding out. finally, once realizing that ben CAN’T be messed with… she dropped her fists, and muttered an apology. (ben caught it, but pretended to not hear it so the kid wouldn’t be too embarrassed.) (oh & he calls her Goldilocks. I miss my children they’re so big brother younger sistyer ) (lucy was only capable of killing him when he was caught off guard or not paying attention but he doesn’t tell her that)
there r a few I wanted to include, like B.E.N and jeff, toby and kate, jane and mary… but I decided against it, because I wanted to get this out + I’m not sure the next time I’ll be able to talk about these dynamics mentioned. however toby and kate, jane and Mary and B.E.N and jeff are most likely gonna be posted about anyway, whether it’s brief or not. also a lot more… So. LOL YEAH
