Siren Dunk meeting Jackolope Raymun and Kitsune Rowan, since Dunk is so massive he had an easy time luring in prey however the only disadvantage would be that he didn't want to lure anyone at all and just wanted company but they would get pushy and try to shame him into doing more than just talk. So he would have no choice but to drag them under and stay till the bubbles stopped. He wasn't always alone. He used to have a father figure in a mean old Centuar called Arlan, but he'd died a couple decades ago from an arrow wound. He'd been buried in Dunk's territory on land as he wanted. Dunk would drag himself up and stay at the grave till his scales dried, which was incredibly itchy.
When he finally meets Rowan and Raymun, he's jaded and quick to temper. They're fine with that. They know what its like to be alone and used by others for traits they couldn't control. Raymun asks to make an orchard in Dunk's territory and Dunk allows it, Rowan asks to make a shop to sell their merchandise (cider, apples, wishes, contracts for bounty hunters, and whatever she makes by hand) Dunk agrees reluctantly. They place the shop (and any adjoining markets stalls) to the very edge of his lake. They put a clear glass along certain parts of the floor so Dunk can look inside they also have clear tunnels built into the foundation so he can travel along and see the shop. (So they also have an underground lair where they chill out and hang with Dunk. He's got a bunch of tubes to swim through and check on things throughout the day).
A few years down the line Dunk realises he's grown to love them both, and unbeknownst to him Rowan and Raymun have loved him since he bared his teeth at them for swimming in his lake without asking. He'd cussed them out for nearly an hour, and all they heard was 'proper name, place name, backstory stuff'. They were genuinely so ensnared by him that they moved all their things in as soon as he was finished talking. Dunk didn't realise until days later that they were still there till they started building a home on elevated stilts on the water. He was so damn flabbergasted he didn't even think to stop them till it was completely done.
