“Be honest,” Wylan said, mouth full of mashed potatoes. “What do you think Sidorov thought of me?”

“If looks could kill,” said Kaz, flexing his fingers, “you’d be on the way to the hospital for an autopsy.”

Wylan gulped, nervously taking a sip out of his cup of water. “So is it safe to say that Sidorov hates me?” he asked. 

“Very,” Kaz replied nonchalantly, as if having one of the most powerful merchers in Kerch as an enemy was nothing to be concerned about. “But not as much as he hates me. I tripped him with my cane while you were in the bathroom.”
