Just a few hours and then I'll finally be back in London for a few days! So happy that this came true, as a third trip wasn't really planned this year. :D Can't wait, gals! See you soon!

And yet, Doctor Who gets filmed. Downton Abbey gets filmed. Action films and drama films set in and around London get filmed. Maybe, when something you make becomes an incredibly popular franchise (and includes an actor who has been on every magazine cover and every talk show for the past year), you can't have your cake and eat it, too, anymore. There will be paparazzi AND curious bystanders AND polite fans AND loud fans AND autograph dealers AND local newspaper reporters out there. This is no longer a small endeavor. You can't shoot it like a film-school final project. If the way you run location shoots is causing problems for your talent, then it's on you to go the extra mile, spend the extra money, do the extra legwork, and establish clear, professional boundaries.
So one of my theatre teachers, who works with a shit ton of actors, mostly on getting rid of habits and stuff, kinda dismissed Martin Freeman today. Someone in class mentioned they had seen the Hobbit and how it was interesting to see how he had mannerisms that were recognizably his but still managed to play his roles so very differently. And the person meant it in an entirely positive way, like it didn't matter at all that he had those tics because he made it the character's tics. And the teacher just went "Then he needs to try harder," and we were kinda floored. So I'm somewhat curious. Do you guys think he should try harder to not show his personal mannerisms in a character? Do you think it's an easy way out? Does it take away from the character? Let me know because I'm really curious what the fandom thinks. Idk if the teacher has seen him in anything other than Sherlock which i know she loves.

2010, the year I found the two best girlfriends ladies in my life! One I went to a gig of those guys - out of the blue with no fucking idea what we've got ourselves into: foreign city, a stranger one has only talked to/with over the interwebs but with the wish to share the most amazing adventure! And what an adventure that was and still is! (dudeufugly, I owe you so fucking much! Thank you for everything!)Â
But this song, this very special song, is for nicegoaleh!Â
This is our song! The one we connected over. We share loads of old and few fandoms and she constantly complains that I drag her into new ones every few months but secretly she loves it But most importantly we're there for each other, sharing so much and I know I would be utterly lost without her! I love you darlin, so very much!!!Â
Your friendships mean the world to me!Â
Here's to many more years to come!!! With both of you!!! *blows kisses over a small body of water and the biggest bloody ocean*Â
