angel pauses for a moment, blinking in confusion over the gesture from the king of hell. with a slow raise of his eyebrow he takes the bag, looking down at them with some bemusement.

cinnamon hearts....well, he was pretty sure that lucifer wasn't about to roofie him with some new street drug. that seemed like a big 'no no' on the whole 'helping charlie with the hotel' thing.

❝  morning  coffee?  ❞  tone  aside,  it  really  isn't  a  question  at  all  —  because  he's  already  placing  a  cup  down  with  enough  force  (  or  enthusiasm  )  that  the  scalding  liquid  threatens  to  slosh  over  the  rim.  there  is  a  brief  pause  that  follows,  alastor's  eyes  practically  boring  twin-holes  through  lucifer's  forehead  with  an  expectant  gaze.  it's  not  a  question  of  whether  the  drink  has  been  tampered  with,  but  what  grotesque  form  his  mind  games  have  decided  to  take  today.  is  it  poisoned?  riddled  with  tiny  shards  of  broken  glass?  even  more  poison?  (  for  flavor,  of  course.  )  fortunately,  the  radio  demon  feels  compliant  enough  to  let  the  proverbial  cat  out  of  the  bag  —  for  the  sake  of  the  bit,  rather  than  any  imagined  sense  of  mercy.  ❝  it's  decaf. ❞ he tells him cheerfully. the most objectively evil thing he can possibly think of.
