#duality project

Me and my friends are making a visual novel series called Duality! We have been doing this for a year now and we have made some good progress. It is nowhere near done and it likely won't be done anytime soon but I wanted to start sharing it on here if anyone is interested in it. Disclaimer: THIS IS A PASSION PROJECT! WE DO NOT HAVE A COMPANY BEHIIND THIS SO OUR BUDGET IS ZERO AND WE ARE GOING TO TAKE A WHILE TO MAKE THIS/PROGRESS UPDATES BECAUSE ALL OF US HAVE LIVES!

This masterlist will include all of the available information that I can tell/show without spoiling anything. I do have a TT account for this game but if you want to ask questions anonymously I would recommend doing it here.

This is the place where I will put the answers to all of the questions people ask me about my WIP game Duality!

There actually is!

If you look through my profile you will see I reuse the name a lot and just change the surname and appearance of the characters. That is because I have so many characters that I write outside of tumblr with so many different names that I struggle with remembering them all. So certain characters will be given the same first name (Lunaria or Luna for short) to make it a bit easier for me. Plus since it's my name I know that I won't forget it

Well she is also my self insert. Waaay before Duality ever came to be they were actually my Danganronpa oc (which I haven't used in forever due to it being a really bad pre-pandemic oc). When me and my friend (@shadefoxx who is the co-owner and one of the artists) decided to make a game inspired by Danganronpa, we first looked at our Danganronpa ocs to see if we can use them and after some adjusting we did that. Yes I am white but a self-insert doesn't have to look like a person's IRL self and can still be their own fleshed out character (trust me I do NOT act like Duality! Lunaria at all|). Plus Shade also has a self insert character (Wren).

Go from the above point, I always wanted to have a character with Vitiligo as we rarely ever see them and I think representation matters. Plus people are still fairly uneducated about it (I mean people still believe MJ bleached his skin to look white) and this has given me the opportunity to do that and research it more. The only reason I haven't made an oc with this condition before is because I tend to cosplay my characters(I can't draw for shit) and I am not going to paint my face to show that condition. That is disrespectful. So this was the perfect opportunity and we wanted the cast to be as diverse as possible and it will only become more diverse as we are planning on 3 games.
