So further on this topic this takes place in a world where they are all human and are in high school. The group of friends Techno ghost hunts with is the Dream Team , Badboyhalo and Skeppy. He is dating Badboyhalo and Skeppy is dating Bad but isn't dating Techno instead they are just best friends.
Also like bros Techno is a nerd disguised as a jock which means he can just carry his boyfriend and best friend around easily
So before Techno joined their weekend ghost hunting adventures the 5 little shits would do all sort of dangerous situations usually involving ghosts and the only reason they haven't died yet multiple times was because Badboyhalo has summoned demons before and ENSLAVED THEM TO HIS WILL and they protect him and his friends by proxy at the last moment possible. After Bad started dating Techno and Skeppy vouched for him Techno joined the friend group and inside he is like I have friends happy noises and outside he is like all intimidating and shit.
Dream and Skeppy proudly show off the shit they built to track ghosts and Techno looks them straight in the eyes and says "Ghosts don't exist, what are you, children?" and the two of them make it their goal to prove to Techno that ghosts exist. I mean how hard could it be they always just barely manage to make it out alive anyways, but the thing is. Techno has a calming affect on ghosts. They either want to use him, possess him, or get him to help them move on. Ghosts don't get the chance to possess him though as he has a few otherworldly friends helping him against the especially malicious spirits. So now with Bad's demons and Techno's calming effect the team don't get attacked so often anymore so like Techno can very easily keep up the act of him not believing in ghosts. No one except Bad knows that Techno is bothered by and can communicate with the dead. So Bad is just watching Techno fuck with the others and barely managing to stop his giggles.

Just imagine Ghostbur playing music and Dream shaking Techno and is like "IT'S A GHOST!! IT'S FUCKING PLAYING THE GUITAR!!! HOW MUCH MORE PROOF DO YOU WANT?!?!" and Techno just continues to sip his tea from his thermos and stare right at Ghostbur and Vibing to his dead bro's music "Ghosts aren't real Dream you are delusional. Playing some music won't get me to believe ghosts exists" cue dream's frustrated screaming and Bad's amused giggles.
