my friend asked me why i would marathon madoka magica after a traumatic and sad event of my life. I mean it’s sad and depressing right? Why throw that atop what has already happened personally? Well, Madoka is a beautiful story. It has characters that die with purpose and even if they turn into witches or even lose their head, it’s all done rather respectfully and full of neat art and other pretty visual details. No guts or blood or anything.

No, if anything the worst thing I could have done was marathon danganronpa after a terrible event in my life. I’m glad I didn’t do that.

all my favourite characters die in the beginning, even ones you’d expect to have plot armour. I was okay with something similar to this happening in SDR2 chapter five because Ibuki was long dead by then. I hadn’t had any attachments to characters to that extent afterwards. This one. OHOHOHOHO. THE MOST BRUTAL CHAPTER ONE EVER. (IT’S THE FUCKING FIRST CHAPTER WHAT THE FUCK?!!?!?) ANd i did get super attached in those 9000 hours I spent watching the playthrough of the character that died, horribly, in the most convoluted and premeditated murder plan ever since Nagito Komaeda. also DRv3 seems to be referencing Gurren Lagann a lot so far. Like how Kamina dies early when you think he’s the main character, or how they’ve spouted lines like “Believe in the me who believes in you!” (or something like that) and that stupid courtroom contraption that looks like a spiral gauge you stick your drill key in. WHUT
