Summary: I had just blown my drunken wad with âRainy Days and Mondays Always Get Me Drunkâ and then @hannibalcreativeâs Drunken Kisses challenge came up. So imagine this is a deleted scene from that. Just more drunken nonsense from these two cuties from that evening â now with more (drunken) kisses.  Also on AO3âŚ
âWhat should we now now?â Hannibal asked as he sat on the floor, petting Encephalitis somewhat roughly. She didnât seem to mind, as Hannibal was rarely this attentive and she was relishing all the utter nonsense going on that evening.
âWhat?â Will asked.
âWhat should we we now?â Hannibal amended.
Will, who was flat on his back with Hannibalâs foot in one hand and a glass of wine in the other, looked up toward him smirking and said, âDo you mean âWhat should we do now?ââ Will squeezed Hannibalâs foot and pulled it close to give his baby toe the tiniest of kisses.
âYes, precisely,â Hannibal said and laughed as Encephalitis happily licked his face.
âI canât believe youâre letting her lick your stupidly gorgeous face, you goon. Youâre always so standoffish with her.â
âWilliam,â Hannibal said in all seriousness, âshe is our child.â The two stared at each other for a moment then began to laugh.
âFuuuuck you,â Will said in an uncontrollable peal of laughter.
âRude. Mr. Graham, that is uncalled for,â Hannibal said with a snort, then leaned over to plant a kiss on Encephalitisâ head. She wagged her tail happily.
Will lift his arm up to pass the wine to Hannibal, who in turn, swallowed it down in one gulp, then carefully balanced the glass on Willâs forehead.
âHow are you able to do that when you are clearly super fucking drunk?â
âSurgeonâs hands,â Hannibal said. âSee?â He then closed his eyes and attempted to touch his index finger to his nose, missing each time he tried. âSee?â
âUh-huh,â Will replied. He grabbed the wine glass, and sat up swaying slightly, and said, âWell, what should we do?â
âFuck?â Hannibal offered loudly.
Will laughed, âOh my, you are drunk.â
Hannibal shrugged and said, âWill, why donât you sing something for me?â
âI can sing, you know that I sing because I sing,â Will said without any modesty.
Hannibal patted Will on the head and said, âI am aware. I have heard you in the shower, but I pretend I do not because I am afraid youâll stop and I love you so much because you are my most brangus Mingus dragon slayer.â
âCan I just say, I fucking love that I am slightly less drunk than you, because you are on fire tonight,â Will said as he happily clapped and leaned over to sloppily kiss Hannibal.
Hannibal melted into the kiss and grabbed Will by the ears, and said, âThese ears. I am going to smoke these ears and eat them.â
Will smiled and said, âCreepy and cute. Iâm going to have our neighbor embroider a pillow for you that says that.â
Hannibal then proceeded to make ânom nomâ sounds while pretending to eat Willâs ears.
***
Another bottle of wine was somehow opened, miraculous to be sure, considering both Hannibal and Will were without possession of fine motor skills. Miracles really do happen in the modern world.
Sober Hannibal would rather cut off a finger than place a drink anywhere near his prized harpsichord. Drunken Hannibal? Not a single shit was given on that rainy evening.
âWhat am I to play, WillâŚiam?â
âDi Quella Pira?â
Hannibalâs breath hitched, âMoongus, I have never been more in love with you than at this very moment.â
Will giggled, âIâm just kidding, love. I have no idea how that goes.â
âAh, I seeâŚâ Hannibal said and softly added, âYou devious little shit.â
Willâs eyes opened wide as he threw his head back and laughed, âHannibal!â
Hannibal laughed as well.
âOkay, okay. I have it,â Will said pausing to take a sip of wine before he continued. âAre you ready?â
âYes,â Hannibal said with a nod. Will brought the wine glass to Hannibalâs mouth. He took a sip and smacked his lips.
âLetâs see if you can keep up. This song is an oldie but a goodie,â Will said and dramatically cleared his throat.
Hannibal played a generic introduction with much flourish and gusto, and even inebriated, his musical talent could not remain dormant.
Will began, âI looked out this morning and the sun was gone. Turned on some music to start my dayâŚâ
Hannibal smiled widely, âThis! I know this!â
Will stopped and said, âYou do not! Nuh-uh.â
Hannibal said, âYes-huh. I most certainly do, mylimasis. ContinueâŚâ
Will looked at Hannibal with a skeptical eye and sang once more, âI lost myself in a familiar song. I closed my eyes and I slipped awaaaaaaayâŚâ
The harpsichord jumped in with the strong familiar chord and much to Willâs amusement and joy, Hannibal began to sing, âItâs more than a feeling, when I hear that old song they used to play. And I begin dreaming ââ
Will bounced on the harpsichord bench and jumped in with a squealing, âTill I see Marianne walk away!â
What followed next was a musical duet that to the ordinary passerby would merely seem like two men, who clearly enjoyed each otherâs company, singing along to Bostonâs âMore than a Feeling.â However, if Jack Crawford, Alana Bloom, Frederick Chilton â or Francis Dolarhyde (RIP) had witnessed this, they most certainly would have imagined they had entered a secret bonus circle of Danteâs Hell.
Will began, âItâs more than a feelingâŚâ
Hannibal chimed in, âMore than a feelingâŚâ
âWhen I hear that old song they used to plaaaaayyy.â
âMore than a feelingâŚâ
âTill I see Hannibal walk away, I see my Hannibal walkinâ awaaaaay!â
With that last away, Will swung his arms open in an over-the-top manner sending the glass of wine that was on sitting on the harpsichord flying across the room. The music abruptly stopped.
âOh shit,â Will said and covered his mouth.
Hannibal looked at the splat of wine on the wall slowly trickling down and said, âYou really did it now, Gusgoose.â
Will broke into a crazed laughter, as Hannibal leaned in to give him yet another drunken kiss, which Will happily accepted.
âOoooo! You know what Iâd like?â Will exclaimed. âA grilled cheese sandwich,â

Summary: Will and Hannibal are rained in, bored as hell, and end up getting super drunk. Just drunken nonsense from these two darling morons who prove time and time again they are perfect for each other.
It started out easily enough; a light drizzle while Hannibal and Will were still nestled asleep in their bed. The drizzle turned into a steady rain, which developed into a sturdy rainy morning which progressed into a thunderous afternoon and evening. After the third day of nonstop rain, Will had had enough.
âIf this rain doesnât end soon, we may have to start building an ark,â Will said looking out the window. Encephalitis whined to go outside, nudging Will on the thigh.
âYou can go outside, girl, but Iâm not stepping foot in that.â Will opened one of the french doors leading to the yard, and Encephalitis hesitantly trotted out.
Hannibal was sitting at the harpsichord trying to compose something â anything â but the constant rain was bringing him down as well, and filling him with unfamiliar lethargy. Uninspired he tapped out a meager chorus of Chopsticks.
âWill, if you are just giving her carte blanche of the yard, I expect that once the rain ceases you will go out there and retrieve all of her⌠gifts. Correct?â
âYes, dear,â Will said with a gently mocking tone. âUgh, the weather report said it would be at least two more days of this. I canât take it,â Will ran his fingers through his hair, âI am so bored.â
âWe could go upstairs, again,â Hannibal said in a catch-my-drift manner. Will smiled, âMaybe later. Oh!â
âWhat is it?â Hannibal asked sitting up on the harpsichord bench, somewhat alarmed.
âLetâs play a board game.â
Hannibal raised an eyebrow, looking unimpressed.
âCome on. Weâll make it interesting and play for something.â
âPlay for something?â Hannibal asked.
What progressed was a stalemate game of chess, followed by an unfinished game of backgammon, leading to gin rummy, which then made Will fish out his deck of Uno cards. After the first round, Hannibal got the hang of the game and became ruthless.
âSkip, Skip, Reverse, and Draw Two,â Hannibal said.
âChrist! Cut me some slack, will you?â
Hannibal grinned, âSo, about that playing for somethingâŚâ
âShit. What do you have planned, Doctor?â
âIf I win, then you will properly walk Encephalitis for the next two days.â
âFine. Done. And if I winâŚâ
âYes?â
âI can get you completely drunk.â
Hannibal wrinkled his nose, âWith what?â
Will glanced toward their bar, âHmmmâŚnot sure. I get to decide after.â
âAgreed â but keep in mind that I have two cards left, while you, precious Mongoose, have five.â
âIâm not afraid of you, Lecter.â
Hannibal shrugged, âAs you wish, Will.â
Hannibal slapped down a red five and elegantly said in a perfect accent, âUno.â
Will then looked at Hannibal for a moment and threw down a Draw Two, Skip, Reverse, Draw Two and said, âUno to you!â
Hannibal looked at the cards, back at Will, and then at the five cards he currently held, as Will triumphantly placed a Draw Four card on the table and said, âBottoms up, my love.â
Will rummaged through the bar cart in the study as he had already decided wine would NOT be on the menu. Hannibal could handle his wine. Brandy? No. Whiskey? He wasnât going to waste his good whiskey on getting Hannibal plastered. Baileyâs? How did that get there? Grappa? Gross. Why did they even have grappa in the house? Grappa it would be. Will grabbed the long bottle by the neck and walked back toward the kitchen.
Hannibal stood by the window, watching as his herb garden became inundated with the rain that refused to relent. Will walked up quietly behind him, and pushed the back of Hannibalâs knees inward using his own knees, causing Hannibal to suddenly lurch forward and bump his forehead on the window.
âWill!â
âJesus! Iâm sorry,â Will said trying to muffle the laughter. âI didnât mean for you to get hurt.â
Hannibal rubbed his forehead and replied looking at Will with equal parts confusion and annoyance, âWell, I suppose I am glad you werenât aiming for actual pain. Imagine what you would have done then.â Hannibal eyed the bottle in Willâs hand, âWhatâs this then?â
Will smiled and thrust it forward toward Hannibal, âGrappa. Are you ready?â he asked shaking the bottle slightly.
âWill, why do we even have grappa in the house?â
âI have no idea, but this is what youâll be drinking.â
Hannibal rolled his eyes, âFine. Letâs begin,â he said with a sigh.
+++
Will wasnât sure exactly how he had gotten involved in the drinking shenanigans but soon the grappa was gone (in what had been a Marion âRaiders of the Lost Arkâ drinking scene reenactment), a bottle of prosecco had been emptied, and Hannibal was now busy making their third round of Moscow Mules using the Stumbras vodka that he had been saving for something or another. Will knew that mixing liquor was a bad idea but he was too far gone and much too much in a good mood to really give a shit.
âArenât these supposed to be in a copper mug, Doctor Etiquette?â Will asked as he sat on the kitchen counter, swinging his legs and sucking on a lime wedge.
âUĹžsiÄiaupk, my precious. DrinkâŚâ Hannibal said with a huge smile as he handed Will a glass with a thin slice of lime floating on top. Will took a sip and closed his eyes, âThis is sooooo good, Hanners.â
âRight?â Hannibal responded as he took his glass. He walked over to the Sonos, put down his Moscow Mule and said, âOkay, Mongus, what do you wanna hear?â
Will looked at Hannibal and snorted, âHoly shit. Did you just call me Mongus?â
âWhat? Donât be absurd. I donât even know what a Mongus is,â Hannibal replied as he scrolled through his cell phone menu to pick a song.
âIf you play something classical, I swear to god I might actually fall asleep,â Will said and began to gulp his drink.
âNo. There will be no sleeping. Okie dork, then,â Hannibal said as he messily wagged a finger at Will. âNo classical musicâŚo vieĹĄpatie, William! The other night, I dreamt I was Igor Stravinsky the other night.â
âHoney,â Will said crunching on some ice, a few chunks flying out of his mouth as he spoke, âyou know I donât speak Lithuanian.â
âTai buvo taip keistaâŚâ Hannibal said with a far off look of wonder in his eye. He then poured himself a shot of Stumbras and slammed it down.
âEnglish, s'il vous plaĂŽt,â Will said as he jumped off the counter and landed on his bum.
Hannibal looked at Will on the floor and laughed, âJĹŤs esate Ĺžavinga!â then poured himself another shot. He drank it and said, âWasnât I doing something? I know I was doing something...â
âNot helping my ass up, thatâs for sure,â Will said as he rolled on his side and pushed himself up clumsily.
âMusic! Yes, music.â Hannibal grabbed his cell phone to look through their playlists, when Will heard his cell ring in the other room. Will crawled from the kitchen over to the end table in the living room, cleared his throat once and answered, âThis is MartinâŚâ
âWhat do you want to listen to?â Hannibal asked as his voice came in through Willâs cell phone.
Will snorted once again and muttered into the phone, âYou dumbass.â He ended the call and then crawled back to the kitchen where Hannibal was doubled over in laughter. He looked at Will, pointed and said, âTaip, bet aĹĄ priklausau tau.â
Josephine Bakerâs âLa Conga Blicotiâ began to filter into the kitchen. Hannibal reached out a hand to Will whose face bloomed a gigantic smile. Hannibal took Willâs hand in his, placed the other on Willâs waist, and they then began to dance a coupleâs conga in their kitchen.
âOne, two, three, conga,â Will said. âThree steps and a tap to the sideâŚone, two, three conga.â
âYou know who we have to thank for my dancing prowess?â Hannibal asked. Both Will and Hannibal replied in unison, as the piano conga continued, âThe Peabody Institute!â
Hannibal stopped and dipped Will, taking the opportunity to nibble on his neck. Will quickly responded by screeching, âUgh! Pick me up, pick me up. Iâll barf if you keep holding me like this.â
Hannibal lifted Will up instantly, and let go, then began to shimmy and sing along with Josephine Baker, âDe sentir la musique danser et moi dit ils. Le monde a des gens voyezâŚâ
Will leaned against the counter and breathed slowly in and out, âOkay, Iâm okay. You damn, gorgeous nut. Donât you need some bananas to do that dance?â
âWill, I would like to kiss you,â Hannibal said dancing to the last bit of the song.
âAnd?â
âPromise me you will not...barf in my mouth if I do.â
âIâll be fine. Just aim for the Will in the middle.â
Hannibal leaned in and messily planted a kiss on half of Willâs mouth. Will couldnât help but laugh and said, âYouâre pretty.â
âYes, I am aware,â Hannibal said and wagged his eyebrows.
Will walked to the counter and poured them each a shot of vodka as he said, âThis is probably not the best idea, but what the fuck.â
Hannibal shrugged and mumbled, âWhat the fuck, indeed.â
+++
Hannibal and Will were sprawled on their backs on the living room floor, eating Carr's table water crackers straight from the box. Encephalitis was snoozing quietly near them on the couch.
âYou know what would be nice? If the room werenât so...tilty,â Will said, cracker crumbs flying out of his mouth.
Hannibal nibbled around the entire edge of a cracker, lost in thought, said, âDid you know that in Paris they had a motorcycle that drove around the Champs-ĂlysĂŠes and picked up dog doo-doo with a vacuum?â He then began to laugh quietly.
Will, equally lost in his own thoughts, shoved two crackers in his mouth and said, âDid you know that the Inflationary Theory has a number of unfounded hypotheses?â He paused then began to laugh hysterically and said, âYou said âdoo-dooâ!â
The two then turned toward each other, cackling like a pair of complete idiots completely in love with each other.
+++
âAre you sure youâre sober enough to do this? I donât want it soft and soggy. Itâll drip out of my mouth.â
âYes, William. I am not that far gone. Youâll love it and be begging for more.â
Hannibal took the spatula and flipped the grill cheese he had melting in the frying pan over with finesse as Will applauded with much enthusiasm.
âDo it again, love,â Will said with glee. Hannibal complied and with a flick of the wrist sent the sandwich into the air, and they both watched as it landed on the floor with a loud slap.
âOh,â Hannibal said quietly.
Encephalitis ran in, scooped it up in her mouth, and skedaddled before either could react.
âMy grilled cheese,â Will said mournfully.
âIâll make you another. Willgoose, the butter,â Hannibal said.
âWait! You donât want to get greasy and dirty and greasy. Wait. Grease,â Will said.
Hannibal nodded, âYes, yes, of course,â as he watched Will dash out of the kitchen and come back with a pair of running shorts.
âHere, put these on,â Will dropped to his knees and began divesting Hannibal of his pants, while Hannibal sipped his glass of wine. Hannibal fearing a loss of balance, held onto Willâs head tightly with one hand.
âJesus! My head is connected you know, and I canât murderize anyone if I canât see.â Will said as Hannibalâs thumb poked him in the eye. âIâm not Daredevil, you know.â
âWill, I have no idea what that is,â Hannibal mumbled as Will pulled up the shorts. âBut my shirt?â
Will stumbled to the one of the drawers in the kitchen and pulled out an apron, âDa-ta!â He shoved the apron toward Hannibal causing him to spill the wine he had been drinking, all over his shirt.
âOh dear,â Hannibal said as he looked at his shirt and put the now empty wine glass on the counter. âThis was monogrammed...â
âHoney, everything you own is monogrammed. Itâs like youâre five or something,â Will said and then slipped the apron over Hannibalâs head while Hannibal unbuttoned his shirt. Once he had it off, Will shoved the shirt into the dishwasher and laughed.
âThat was one of my favorite shirts,â Hannibal pouted.
âOh, fine. Iâll make it up to you -- whatever you want, my love, is yours,â Will said as he booped Hannibal on the nose.
âAnything?â Hannibal asked tying the apron around his waist.
Will planted a kiss on Hannibalâs shoulder and said, âYes, siree bob. Anything. All you have to do is say so.â
âGood, Iâll put that in my mental Rolodex.â
âMâkay,â Will replied.
âWho would like another grilled cheese?â Hannibal yelled out.
+++
The morning came in strong and relentless as the rain beat down on both the bedroom windows, and what sounded like the inside of Will and Hannibalâs ears. The incredibly drunk duo had miraculously managed to make their way to their bed but last nightâs activities were definitely not kind to them this morning, and even waking up in their bed was of no help. Will groaned and Hannibal barely mustered a sad, âBĹŤk ramusâŚâ
Encephalitis whined and nudged Willâs feet, which were dangling off the bed. After a few moments, she barked twice. Will jumped up, and instantly regretted his action.
âOh...my god,â he said as he gripped his pounding head. âShhhh! Please, girl...just shush.â He looked over toward Hannibal who, for some unknown reason, was wearing a pair of Adidas shorts, and an apron to bed. His eyes remained closed, breathing somewhat shallow.
Will gingerly touched Hannibalâs thigh, âAre you okay? Still alive?â
Hannibal groaned and covered his face with his arm, âSadly, yes,â he croaked out.
Will felt as though he had been sucking cotton balls all night, and licked his lips, as Encephalitis stared anxiously at him.
âFine, Iâll let you out.â Will said as he stumbled out of bed, still drunk.
âWillâŚâ
âHmmm,â Will replied as he leaned on the doorjamb.
âDonât you mean, âFine, I will go walk you?ââ
âWhat?â
âFine, I will go walk you.â
Will was suddenly stuck with a vague recollection of him saying Anything. All you have to do is say so. Will stopped and stared at Hannibal, took a deep breath and said, âIn all the time Iâve known you, and all the things youâve said and done, including framing me for murder and trying to eat my brain...this is by far the meanest.â
Hannibal looked at Will through squinted eyes and said sweetly, âI love you,â then rolled over onto his side.

âWill, mon cĹurâ quel bonheur de tâentendre. Il a ĂŠtĂŠ trop longtemps que jâai entendu ta voix." Lecter said, glancing towards his empty glass. It did so tempt him to refill it, but in the middle of a conversation? With others, perhaps, but not with Will.
"For what are you calling me tonight, petite mangouste?â
