Gen — The Wedding Mastermind (Self-Proclaimed)

Gen steepled his fingers like a cartoon villain.

"Senku... dear, clueless Senku... you’ve made a grave mistake."

Senku, tiredly flipping through blueprints, didn’t look up. "What now, magician?"

"You’ve opened the door to the most magnificent event this stone world has ever seen."

"Don’t say it."

"Your wedding."

Senku froze.

Gen leaned closer, grinning wide.

"A celebration of science... poison... frogs... and love. And guess who gets to plan it all?"

Senku finally glanced up, dead-eyed.

"Not. You."

But Gen only laughed, spinning on his heel.

"Too late, science boy! I’m already designing the guest list. Frog-shaped cakes. Lab flask bouquets. Ryusui as the best man—oh, the chaos!!"

"Gen—"

"Ruri as maid of honor... Suika throwing frog cookies instead of petals... Kohaku in a tux... Oh, the world will weep with joy!"

Senku groaned into his hands.

"Why did I say yes to Himeko again?"

Kohaku — Warrior of Science in Shock

"WHAT?!"

Kohaku nearly dropped her spear. "You and Himeko are... together now?! For real?! Like, mating partner together?!"

Senku raised an eyebrow. "Is that what you’re calling it?"

Kohaku flushed but stood firm, hands on hips.

"I just… I thought you didn’t care about that kind of thing, Senku! You’ve been ignoring her weird frog-love plan for years!"

"I still don’t care. But she wore me down. Like erosion."

"Incredible," Kohaku whispered, awed. "I underestimated her power. She’s truly a warrior."

Then she frowned. "Wait... does this mean she’ll flirt even more now?!"

"Highly likely."

"...I must train harder."

Suika — The Curious Observer

Suika look at Senku curiously.

"So... you like Himeko-oneesan now? For real?"

Senku glance down at her, smirking.

"I guess you could say that, yeah."

"Yaaaay!!" Suika cheered, throwing her hands up. "I knew her frog plan would work! I helped her once! I gave her the frog charm she keeps!"

"...Of course you did."

"Will you get married now? Like Chrome and Ruri want to someday?"

Senku sweatdropped. "One step at a time, Suika."

"But if you do," Suika grinned wide, "I wanna throw flower petals! And wear a cute dress! Oh, and make frog cookies!!"

Senku chuckled. "Frog cookies? Seriously?"

"Yep! Frogs forever!"

Ryusui Nanami — The Proud Brother (and Possible Enabler)

Ryusui folded his arms, grinning like the devil.

"Kukuku... I knew she’d win. Of course she’d win. She’s my sister, after all—perfection in human form. Who could resist?"

Francois raised an eyebrow, politely unimpressed. "Sir, I believe it was less her charm and more her persistence."

Ryusui shrugged, unbothered. "Same difference. Perseverance is charm."

Then he sighed dramatically, hand on his heart.

"Still... my little sister, no longer a free woman... How bittersweet. Who else will call me ‘annoying idiot’ without fear?"

Francois poured him more tea. "I’m sure she’ll continue to insult you, sir."

"A comforting thought," Ryusui said with a smirk.

Yuzuriha Ogawa — The Happy Best Friend

Yuzuriha clasped her hands, shining with joy.

"She really did it! She really, really did it!"

Taiju smiled wide beside her. "She never gave up! Not once! Just like you with your crafting or Senku with science!"

Yuzuriha giggled. "I always knew they fit. Only Himeko could handle his weird brain... and only Senku could survive her poison jokes. They’re perfect!"

She hummed happily, sketching designs for Himeko’s future wedding dress in her notebook. "Simple, but with tiny frog embroidery. She’ll love it."

Taiju peeked over her shoulder. "Frogs?! You’re serious?!"

"Of course! It’s their whole love story!"

Taiju Oki — The Big Brother Energy

Taiju laughed so loud the trees shook.

"ABOUT TIME!! I told you all!! Senku’s been smiling more when she’s around! No way her Frog Plan would fail!!"

He gave a huge thumbs-up, beaming.

"I always said Himeko’s awesome! Fast, smart, never gives up—just like Senku!"

Then he froze.

"Wait... do you think they’ll have weird science babies? Like super-genius kids who make bombs and poisons and rockets at age five?!"

Yuzuriha giggled. "I hope so."

Chrome behind them whispered, terrified: "Oh no... there’ll be two of them…"

Somewhere far away…

Byakuya’s old voice in the recording smiled gently:

Himeko stood on the roof of the rebuilt observatory, the wind teasing her twin braids. She dangled a vial of mild toxin between her fingers—just a reflex. No need for poison today. No enemies left to scare.

She heard familiar footsteps behind her—calm, measured, unmistakably Senku.

"Planning to poison someone, Himeko?" His voice was as flat as always, but the corner of his mouth twitched in amusement.

"Only myself if this stupid frog plan fails after all these years," she sighed dramatically. "You do remember, right? Our little boiling frog bet? I warm the water slowly until you fall for me. Like science."

Senku leaned on the rail beside her, staring at the sky.

"Of course I remember. You’ve been running that experiment for what, twelve years?"

"Nine. I’m not thirty yet," she corrected. "Still time left before I give up and start calling Byakuya ‘Dad.’"

Quiet.

She peeked sideways at him, expecting another lecture on wasting energy or probability ratios. But instead—

"...Forget the frog."

She blinked. "Hah?"

Senku turned, eyes unusually serious. "If the experiment ends when I give in... then I guess this is the conclusion."

A pause.

"You win."

Himeko froze. Mouth slightly open. Brain rebooting like a broken CPU. "Wait. Wait. What? What do you mean I win? Seriously?"

"Seriously. Let’s go out," Senku said, casual as announcing the weather. "I’ve rebuilt civilization. Might as well see what this boiling frog plan leads to."

She clutched the railing like it would save her from flying off the roof.

"W-Why so calm? After years of rejection?! After Byakuya shipped us from the grave?!"

Senku shrugged. "He’d be smug if he knew. Besides… you’re the only woman I know who’d bother slow-cooking love like a science experiment. Might as well respect the effort."

His hand, warm against the cold railing, brushed hers.

Himeko swallowed hard. For the first time in years, she had no teasing comeback. No poison joke. No flirty line.

"...Senku?"

"Hmm?"

"I… I might actually faint."

"Don’t. That’d be annoying."

She laughed, a little shaky. Then smiled—wide, triumphant, like she’d waited for this exact future.

"I won the experiment," she whispered. "Guess I am a genius."

Senku smirked, gently bumping his shoulder into hers.

"Congrats, Frog Queen."

(Somewhere far below, Gen sighed and lost a bet.)

🧪 "The Moment the Frog Plan Succeeded" — Senku & Himeko POV

Senku’s POV

She was there again.

Leaning against the lab door, arms crossed, lazy smile playing on her lips. Like always. Like forever.

"Still boiling, huh?" she teased softly, tilting her head. "I warned you. Frogs don’t feel it ‘til the water’s too warm."

Senku didn’t glance up from his blueprint. "You really sticking to this stupid metaphor for ten years straight?"

"Yep."

Silence. Only the scratch of pencil on paper.

"You're exhausting, Himeko."

"Mm-hmm. But you’d miss me if I stopped."

Another pause. His pencil stilled.

"...I would."

She blinked. A tiny flicker of surprise in those dark eyes. He never admitted it before. Not this plainly.

Senku leaned back, fingers laced behind his head, staring at the cracked ceiling.

"Let’s go out."

"...Eh?"

Her voice cracked for the first time. Not teasing. Not smug. Just... startled.

"You win," he said simply. Like it was science. A solved equation. "Your stupid boiled frog plan worked. I’m cooked."

Silence.

Then soft laughter — quiet and breathless. "You’re serious?"

"Dead serious."

"Senku..."

"Don’t get weird about it. It’s annoying."

She grinned wide, the glow behind her eyes real and soft. "No promises, frog boy."

Senku sighed, closing his eyes.

"...So annoying." But the corner of his mouth twitched. Just slightly.

Himeko’s POV

She always thought she'd win. Eventually. Someday.

But not like this.

Not Senku turning to her on a lazy afternoon, casual as the breeze, and saying:

"Let’s go out."

No blush. No panic. No sudden grand gesture.

Just Senku. Calm. Tired. Honest.

"You win."

Her heart thumped — stupid, loud, thrilled.

He glanced up, noticing.

"Don’t make a weird face."

She grinned wider. "I warned you. Warm water. Frogs can’t tell."

He smirked faintly. "Guess I can’t."

Her plan. Her years. Her endless teasing and truths.

It worked.

And for once — just this once — Nanami Himeko forgot how to tease. Forgot to be smug. Forgot her poison words.

Because this moment was real.

And worth every slow second she’d boiled him alive.
