lady-noms said: Caron brand. Simply soft for toys and one pound for things like blankets and cloaks. Best part of brand loyalty is that I know exactly what hook to use for toys.
I love Caron One Pound yarn, too. I always had trouble with splitting using Simply Soft, but if you don't, that's awesome! It's nice acrylic yarn!
trendyspoon said: I like chunky yarn because of the big hooks and needles and it’s oh so warm!
Heck yeah!
em-kellesvig answered: Worsted weight mostly but some bulky yarns too. I really like LB Tweed Stripes. If I can afford it, anything with wool. LB Wool-Ese is very nice!
I've used Wool-Ease a few times, and I agree!
threading-on-rainbows reblogged this from juststitched and added: I love cotton-acrylics blends as well. They are just so pretty. You get the nice feeling of cotton, but the ease of acrylic on your hook. Although I have just discovered a Women’s Institute acrylic yarn that is beyond soft and it makes me super happy to hold it and touch it (I sound like a yarn perv)
Yarn perv away! You won't be judged! :)
redbird5241Â answered:Â Bernat Satin. I love the feel of it SO MUCH and with a good metal hook it crochets really nice.
I don't think I've used that, but it sounds really nice!

I'd give a leg to not have to use ruffle yarn again lol. I still have some in my stash, and plan to only make chain scarves out of it, because it's so tedious making those ruffle scarves! LOL. If yo'ure enjoying it, that's awesome!
blue-jessica said: I mostly like Aran yarn as it’s quicker and not too heavy (Rico essentials pure merino Aran is THE softest yarn I have ever felt/worked with) but sirdar folk song chunky is also a fav. It works up quick is very soft for acrylic and it’s light too.
I've never used (or even heard of) either of those, but I'd love to feel them! They sound so nice!

Awesome!
pansexualvaporeon answered: I like using 100% acrylic worsted weight. I prefer the Canadiana line from Patons.
I haven't used any Patons before, but I will sometime!

More power to you! I have no patience for thread crochet! :)
drsilly said: I like worsted weight a lot. It’s easy and quick to work with, and is versatile with the kinds of projects you can make. I mostly work with acrylic because it’s what I can afford to buy regularly, but I love spoiling myself with acrylic-wool blends.
Absolutely! I've never used an acrylic-wool blend, but maybe I'll look into one based on your recommendation! :)
