Since  being  assigned  to  Heleana,  Anakin  had  decided  to  be  withdrawn  for  self-protection.  Better  to  keep  the  Hightowers  at  a  distance,  he  thought.  Anyone  who  got  too  close  ended  up  dead  or  worse.  And  it  wasn't  something  he  wanted  for  himself.  But  at  a  rare  moment,  he  did  dare  to  ask  what  was  wrong  with  the  princess.  He  sensed  her  mood  shift  while  scrolling  through  the  gardens.  Outside  the  occasional  bird  chirping,  it  was  dead  quiet.  "Sometimes  they  do.  Sometimes  not.  Depends  largely  on  the  situation."

Rigby took note of how much Helaena's anxiety had risen as of late. A title she never wanted, threats to her children, her family at each other's throats or leaving-- he did his best to ease her worries. Even now they had to make due with their new Queen's restrictions. The twins were left in the care of him and his siblings instead of their mother where they belonged. "As you wish." He sat with her, eyes glancing around to ensure they were left in peace so he reached out to take her fidgeting hand gently.

her azure eyes soften, nuzzling her snout against the palm pressed against her warm scales. the confession is not surprising. her dearest helaena has always been special. one who could see things as they were, when others could not.

Deep in his abyss, he stirs.

The deepest part of his domain is devoid of light, but not devoid of life. Even now he can feel the heartbeats around him. His realm lies deeper in the most untouchable parts of the Narrow Sea, beneath the territory that belongs to his sister. She rules where the sunlight can reach, filtering through the sea foam and warming the life that thrives there in the brightness.

But he is content with his darkness here. He is not lonely, but this silence is meditative. 

Helaena….

He feels her. And is partially certain that she feels him too. 

He reaches out the tendrils of his consciousness to her on a night when the moon is full, manifests in her dreamscape as all he is. Aquamarine scales, endlessly branching horns like a reef thriving with coral, the pale blue glow of his eyes. 

He is a wingless deity, for his place is not in the skies. Instead, great sprawling fins spread from his side. Appendages that aid in his navigation of the abyss, catching on the chilled currents and carrying to where he needs to go.

THE SPARE PRINCE REIGNS TERROR AS HIS BROTHER CONTINUES TO BURN , screams ringing from the chamber , night & day. it seemed unlikely that king aegon would ever sit upon his throne again & prince aegon had become far too comfortable with the idea. aside from his stinging cheek however - the only part of robb stark that was wounded , was his pride ( but he was to hold his tongue , as his cousin had instructed - he was in a keep full of snakes , one wrong step and he might find his head mounted on a wall ). HE DID NOT ENJOY BEING A HOSTAGE , even if he was offered the same comforts as other lords and ladies within this place. it has become a cycle of misery. waiting for a death warrant that may or may not come.

as the queen's voice rings through the hallway , he glances up & bows. whatever hatred he had for aemond and aegon , he was unable to hold for helaena ( instead , he felt a great sadness for her - trapped as she was ).

Jace goes quiet staring over at Helaena with so much pain in his gaze. He knows she has been through so much and wishes there was more he could do. When choices were made about marriage and promises he had been too young. he had not known what they would go through who they would be after this. Still he does wish he could have pushed the he could have tried because she deserved more. He thinks he could have been a good husband maybe he still will be not to her.
