Time was capricious, here, somehow settled and restless at once, but Obi-Wan had since learned the way of it. The weight of hours on his limbs and the lethargy in his bones stood testament that he’d stayed too long. It could be difficult, sometimes, to relinquish Vader’s grip—to bequeath himself to wakefulness and the sharp expanse of day.

 “Don’t,” Vader said, arm tightening as his lips traced the shell of an ear. The press of his body at Obi-Wan’s back seemed the only stable thing in the universe. Even the folds of velvet beneath them, blacker than starless skies, were far too giving and soft. “One more time. I’ll fuck you like this, make you wake with me still in you. Give me that, at least, if you won’t tell me where you are.”

 Vader’s hips rocked forward, cock hard against the swell of Obi-Wan’s ass, and Obi-Wan had to close his eyes against the thought of it, against the feel of it. Against the overwhelming desire to let Vader have whatever he wanted, here and in the waking world as well.

 He should go, he knew. The suns would be well above the horizon by now, sands warm beneath their glare. But he wanted with a fire that lay waste to his thoughts, and these rare moments were so hard to resist. Vader was a warm weight beside him, sated but never satisfied, all anger long bled out.

 So instead he murmured his assent, shifted to let Vader thrust lazily inside, and drank in every touch as Vader’s fingers swept possessively over his skin.

 “You always smell so warm,” Vader murmured against his throat as he rocked them towards orgasm. “Like you spent the day in the sun.” His fingers drew along the span of Obi-Wan’s wrist, down the lines of his palm, around to rub over his knuckles. It was slow, and inexorable, like the roll of Vader’s hips, like the press of his cock within Obi-Wan’s body. “You smell like wind and desert. Sandstone. Except you also smell sweet, like you.”

 Obi-Wan forced himself not to freeze, tried to think around the pleasure as Vader continued to move, because he shouldn’t have stayed. Not on Tatooine, not here, not in the circle of Vader’s arms. The brush of Vader’s fingers felt suddenly tender and raw, like the press of a hand against sandburnt skin.

 There were thousands of deserts scattered across the galaxy, countless places he could be, but in the end—

 In the end, there was only ever one.

 And some things took only a moment to guess, so long as the moment was right.

“It can’t be,” Vader breathed, his voice incredulous against Obi-Wan’s skin. His fingers tightened around Obi-Wan’s hand, as if the pressure would make it so, and it was enough to send Obi-Wan spinning over the edge. “You wouldn’t.”

In to have and to hold, I don’t think Vaderkin would deny Obi-Wan his Jedi robes, no. I think he’d think about it. I think he’d threaten it, like he threatens to send Obi-Wan to Bail’s bed in the first part. But he wouldn’t do it. This very much ties into something that @tessiete and I have talked a lot about in regards to this series: that, while Vaderkin might pretend and even think he knows what he wants in regards to Obi-Wan—for Obi-Wan to join him in the dark, for Obi-Wan to give over trying to turn him to the light, for Obi-Wan to just entirely give in and do whatever Vaderkin wants—if Obi-Wan actually did these things—if he gave in, in every way possible and on all accounts—he would no longer be the Obi-Wan Vaderkin recognizes. And then Vaderkin loses something absolutely irreplaceable, because what he wants, ultimately, is Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan the Jedi. Obi-Wan his old master. Obi-Wan his former brother-in-arms. And the robes, I think, are a symbol of that to both of them. So I think there’s a part of Vaderkin that wouldn’t dare—that couldn’t quite make this move.

In dreamfield, I think Vaderkin would come a lot closer, and that yeah, he maybe actually would take those robes. I think he would see it as another mark of victory. I think in some ways, Vaderkin is a little more cruel re: Obi-Wan in this series than in to have and to hold. Not in that he wants to hurt him physically, but he’s much closer to wanting that absolute obedience in a way he doesn’t in to have and to hold.

In to touch the light, darkest, I think that, as things spiral and Obi-Wan keeps trying to bring Vaderkin back to the light, that yeah, Vaderkin would see this as a power move. Obi-Wan has so much power to make Vaderkin beg in the bedroom that I think he would see this as a means of getting the upper hand outside of the bedroom, in some ways. This actually ties into something I’m planning to explore in the third part I have planned for this series—which is that I’ve looked a bit at Obi-Wan’s jealousy over the control Sidious has over Vader in the first two parts, and how he counteracts this a bit in the bedroom. But in part three I want to look at Vaderkin’s jealousy at thinking Obi-Wan only wants him as Anakin, not as Vader. I think something like requiring Obi-Wan to wear fancy clothes that aren’t Jedi robes would be one way for him to make this sharp divide. That taking those robes away would be one means of pushing Obi-Wan to accept him as Vader, because that’s something Anakin wouldn’t do, but Vader would.

So, tldr; in to have and to hold, no, he wouldn’t. In both dreamfield and to touch the light, darkest, he might, in the last especially if he feels pushed to it!
