spiretta (JP悪血鬼/Akuchioni) is a dreamer 'nd a minor ruler of pumpkin rot in chapter 6 of needle travels; she belon's to the species of dream vampires, so she is technically a vampire. spiretta is a 13-year-old dream vampire with pale, white skin. she wears what appears to be a large ribbon, very similar to reimu’s from touhou. she has prominent fangs which she uses to absorb the essence of any food and drain its colour. she also has dark hair with red wings on her head, her eyes are hidden by her hair, however, she can reveal her true eyes, of which there are three, with red and black pupils. 'round her neck she wears a red scarf with a crystal sphere that enhances the power of her fire abilities. her arms resemble the wings of a feathered devil, however, they are actually concealed beneath them, as these ‘wings’ are in fact dark long sleeves that form part of her outfit, these sleeves appear to 've orange claws 'nd dark buttons, she wears an orange tunic, elongated shoes and dark, elongated socks. she is also capable of doublin' the number of sleeves to a total of four, 'nd can stretch them out to use to her advantage in battle. spiretta is a girl who tends to be the most chaotic 'nd insane of the other rulers, displayin' an obvious hyperfixation on various things that catch her attention, she is also a rather unstable 'nd, to a certain extent, sadistic girl. she also seems to shout very often, in an exaggerated, childish 'nd dramatic tone. she also seems to be easily angered and manipulated, she tends to be very dependent on most people 'nd doesn’t want them to leave, otherwise she’ll say she’ll be in a helpless state. she also seems to cry quite a lot if thin's take a turn fer the worse fer her, however, she can 'come happy 'nd friendly if thin's go her way on occasion. she has a compulsive desire to mature and grow up much faster than other dreamers, to the point of tryin' to pretend to be an adult, 'lthough she does so clumsily 'nd ends up gettin' herself into even more trouble than she already had to begin with. however, she 'metimes displays certain signs of maturity when she speaks in a more formal and proper manner at certain moments. she also has a strong hyperfixation with stakes and daggers, to the point of using them as if they were toys. she also has a fondness fer anime 'nd video games, 'nd enjoys makin' friendly gestures, doin' somersaults and dancin' at various times when she is happy 'r calm. her name (spiretta) could be derived from an anagram of ‘spin’; it could also be derived from an anagram of the word ‘spark’, which possibly refers to sparks of fire, 'nd the feminine suffix ‘ette’ or ‘etta’, given that spiretta is a girl. her japanese name, (悪血鬼), is a play on words 'tween ‘悪夢’ (meaning ‘nightmare’) 'nd ‘吸血鬼’ (the word fer ‘vampire’), so its literal translation would be ‘nightmare vampire’, as she is a dream vampire. spiretta’s background is unknown, however, everythin' seems to suggest that she is an orphan, as her parents never came forward, so cornthorn 'nd the others adopted her at that time. it is said that she used to break thin's she didn’t like, however, she would try to fix them in ''me way, though it never worked. she also seems to 've known fang 'nd xiao at 'me point in her life, 'lthough she doesn’t seem to remember much 'bout it. she also used to cry quite loudly, to the point where she simply wouldn’t stop crying, it’s possible that her real parents abandoned her 'cause of these misdeeds
