after a long time finally got enought energy to finish organizing my drawing table, took me a few months but im proud of it, cant way to use it and show what i do with it

For anyone wondering, I’m drawing the Inktober sketches on A5 papers, that’s why they lack some details for that I have to complete them within 3 hours max, because I come back from work at around 8 😁 I pencil and ink them but later I scan them sometimes to correct some errors and put them in frames digitally. So, there’s no punchline here for obvious reasons. I wrote this about 4 months ago and held off drawing it for a lot of reasons. The first was another comic strip with a cartoonist being plagued by the voice of their self-doubt being visualized as a demon. The second was that I was afraid of actually GIVING a literal voice to my inner demons. After all, it didn’t work for me the last time I did so in this strip. But recently, I decided to re-start working on my graphic novel series, the Wellkeeper, and all the old doubts and mental challenges popped back to the forefront of my mind. So if I’m going to beat my self-doubt this time, I might need to show the fight to help me get past it. We shall see. Also, there’s an irony in the DESIGN of my inner demon being essentially the Demon Skeezicks from my failed webcomic, Dandy & Company. 

Saying hello to 2019 from my studio. I hope you all had a great entrance into the new year! 🎉 I took these 35mm pictures of my slightly chaotic drawing table I while ago and just got them developed. You can see a WIP for the new book I’m working on with @quartokids and @vitamurrow 🙃 I don’t usually make a list of goals for the new year. I mostly just want to experiment, grow as an illustrator and work on exciting projects just like I did on 2018. It was a very productive year with 4 books and many other smaller projects, but I think I also learnt how to balance work and freelance life a bit better. And 2019 is off to a great start with the launch of my first children’s picture book, “Duchess and Guy”, that will be for sale next week. (I’ll share a bit more of that one soon, yay!).
