It’s been a year since Quino passed, and even though it comes very late, this is my small tribute. I grew up reading his comics and wanting to be friends with Mafalda ☺️

A quick study I painted using some leftover acrylic gouache I had in my stay-wet palette. I love how loose this is, both paint strokes and pencil lines, and I constantly struggle to keep that spontaneity in my final work. Am I the only one? How do I switch off my perfectionist brain? 🧠
