This is the first image in a narrative series I called Anita Goes Outside. I made the series pretty quickly, drawn in analogue and colored digitally, to get going on a children's literature portfolio. I wanted to make a central character who wasn't a white kid, in order to take part in the needed shift that's taking place in the industry, to represent all sorts of kids, not just white kids. #kidlitart #illustrationartists #illo #pencildrawing #uppercasereader #boredathome #illustrationwall #drawingdiversity
