Draw a character that... you would commit heinous crimes in order to protect: Mewtwo
Not that he would need it, of course, but still.
He was the first fictional character who I looked in awe to, the first platonic love/numen of my first conscious life.
His weird appearance, his grace and bitterness, his story, his ideology, his righteous anger against humans who, mirroring the material world, were awful (back then and are so still [Never learn, RIP all 90,s-2000 cartoons attempts]). I was always on Mewtwo's side on the first Pokémon movie, regardless of being torn because of Mew (💓) and the main characters, which I always liked.
On that regard, I must rise an exhortation to newer viewers who would have watched the must recent Mewtwo strikes back 3d animation movie hosted in Netflix, instead of the original anime one from the 90's. Because.... how the hell did they manage to ruin a good, entertaining and actually thoughtful movie to make it boring, slow, silly, empty and visually flat (in regards of photographic direction)?
Everything the original movie was not, Netflix managed to make the new one into. By changing the dialogue, they relinquished it of the meaning the original movie had, and so they relinquished Mewtwo of his depth in order to turn him into the regular villain.
So watch the old one. Even the animation is better despite of being old anime in 2d. The action moves like action. Mew has all his pretty and charming scenes. Even better, watch the uncut Japanese version, that fully makes justice to original Mewtwo.
