It's still hard to believe she's gone... Soulmate: I get that, man. My Pyrrha died during the Fall, like a lot of the others. It's only been a few months, but I still can't get the smell of her flowers out of my nightmares. At least I still have Ren and Nora Daemon: It hasn't been that long since the Fall for me, either. Ruby's uncle told me he found Pyrrha turned to Dust on the top of the tower, like a daemon. Stuff of nightmares right there Wings: It's at least been a while from the Fall for me. I don't think I'll ever take Pyrrha's feather off my ear, but it at least doesn't hurt to look at anymore Voices: I don't really have it in me for romance. But in Atlas, and since getting to Vacuo, it feels like things have changed between us. Maybe I'm just imagining things
Knights in Time: Well, as someone who recently got time traveled back to Beacon WITH Weiss, I can tell you that you're not imagining things. As hard as it is for me to believe, she really does like us Mirror Man: Don't know how I could have time to fall in love. I have to protect the Afterans, and help team RWBY get back to Remnant. I know Jaune Arc (not any of you, this one was a MONSTER) was in love with Weiss Schnee, but thankfully I slew him before he could act on his emotions Twins: ...Well you're just a barrel of fun aren't you? I'm dating Weiss, I think, same as most of the other Mes that have made it through the Ever After. Only weird thing I've got going on is like... placebo feelings for Blake from my twin. Tour Group: I dunno what to say, compared to everyone else I'm a pretty standard Jaune. (weirdest sentence I've ever said) Used to have a crush on Weiss, mourning Pyrrha, all that jazz. Think I'm doing a bit better on the mourning front. Space from the War has helped with that Royalty: Aaaaaand I think that's everyone! Lots of Weiss, LOTS of Pyrrha. Seems we're all pretty similar in that regard

Au where Jaune is a monster under the bed, the horrors of the night that make children terrified of the dark and coats on doors in said dark...
Except he's not very good at it.
He isn't all that scary, small horns, blue lizard sit eyes, yellow skin and TINY tusks with only his forked tail being slightly scary since it was covered in barbs...
The girl he was assigned to scare is this little white haired princess, at least he thinks she's a princess, she lives in what might as well be a castle!
He makes the lights flicker? She calls a butler to change the bulbs.
Scary noises? Drowned out by her white noise machine.
Scratching nails on the floor? He ended up with splinters and she had the varnish redone.
He tried to loom over her bed to make her scream? She thought he was the cake butler! What the heck is tiramisu!?
This assignment is gonna be hell...
He doesn’t know that he can’t terrify the little girl because nothing could more be more scary than her own father. He doesn’t know that she can’t believe in the horrifying fantastical because what could be worse than reality.
She has nightmares, like any small child. He wonders why the little girl never runs to her parents for comfort

He’s a monster-under-the-bed, and his job is to terrify each child in his charge, but that’s just it. They are in HIS charge. The most scary thing these kids should be facing are his admittedly not intimidating horns and not threatening claws. They shouldn’t be so hardened by life that a bump in the night doesn’t sway them
This girl is HIS responsibility, and if he has to terrify her parents so that she can feel the fear of a branch scratching the window and the comfort of burrowing under her VERY expensive comforters, then so be it. He’s a monster of his word
Not sure if it's been asked, but the idea of Pyrrha riding on the back of jaune into battle with her spear and shield just sounds so incredibly badass...
Imagine heavily armouring his front and then just crashing into a swarm of grimm!
They actually do this, once he’s strong enough to carry people! (He was pretty emaciated after the forests, it takes til Argus to get that strength back)
Pyrrha finally gets to be the cavalry fighter she was always meant to be. And Jaune gets to support his team, like he’s always wanted
It’s not just Pyrrha, of course. Weiss summons from his back so she can focus on summoning and not on defending herself. And Nora likes standing on his back and thwacking Grimm with Magnhild while he charges through. Just for transport purposes, Oscar rides on his back a lot while he’s recovering from battle, it’s still a lot of energy expended for him
This seems like an okay time to say what kind of armor Jaune ends up with once they finally get to Atlas. He gets fairly equipped in Mistral, (chestplate, sword, shield) but he needs custom stuff that Pietro is better suited for
His human half gets a chestplate and bracers, as well as under arm clothing and gloves to keep the straps from pulling at his fur. As for his rabbit half, there’s plating over his front and along his back, but his legs are mostly free so they can maintain mobility. He also gets wraps for his paws to prevent the ice from cutting them
Someone regretting the pallete swap idea? Lol

I HATE Jaune harem fics and pics... TRULY hate them.
But there is one I don't.
A CUDDLE harem! Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, gets obsessed with Jaune's hugs and cuddles the moment they experience their first one. They make you just feel so warm and loved and cared for.
It isn't even romantic... for the most part, looking at you, thirsty Weiss!
People fight to be the one to get the first hug of the day and it only gets worse as he beef's up even more! Jaune has to set up a timetable so he doesn't have to deal with people demanding hugs at the same time.
While he doesn't mind and loves the physical affection, he is grateful when Yang and Blake get together so they can hug and snuggle each other instead... Yang's are back breaking!
Until they come to him at the same time and ask him to be a human pillow as they watch a movie with him.
Even Emerald, who got hooked when he ran up and hugged her in thanks for looking out for his team, asks for a hug when they're alone.
And then he has Neptune walking up to him, red faced and embarrassed with Sun cheering him on. Asking if it would be lame to ask for a hug to which Jaune just laughs and hugs him nice and tight.

Screw romantic/sexual harem, let’s get platonic “harem” in here. Jaune is big and strong and warm and he’s the best at giving hugs
Why do I feel like Juniper!Jaune would have Disney Princess vibes when it comes to animals?
Like, the gang take a rest in a forest clearing, Jaune doses off... and the others come to find him with multiple birds sleeping in his antlers, rabbits, larger birds and even a badger resting on his back and flank and... is that a doe and its' fawn sleeping against his side!?
Also, Weiss and Pyrrha would definitely silently squee and take a million pictures, lol
It’s pretty true, even after Jaune comes back to being Jaune. The animals just recognize him as one of their own. Birds frequently land on his antlers and ride along for a while, squirrels sit on his back and groom his fur, and even the larger prey animals like deer will leave their babies near him to watch
It happens in cities, too. When they get to Mistral, all the strays in town come and find him, and he’s constantly surrounded by pigeons, same in Mantle. In on the tundra the penguins always come to greet him and nestle under his fur like they would when they were chicks
It’s RIDICULOUS in the Ever After. That place is so full of life, he looks like a walking zoo
He can’t communicate with the animals or anything, he’s still fundamentally a person, but they just don’t see him as a threat like they do other animals. If anything, they instinctively know that he’s someone who will try to protect them. It’s because of his resemblance to the God of Animals
The dosing off thing is also something I’m glad you brought up, because Jaune does it a LOT. Just like he needs to eat a lot more to sustain his much larger body, he also needs to sleep a lot more. So whenever the gang stops to have lunch while they’re traveling, Jaune will find a shady spot under a tree and fall asleep
And then, of course, the animals find him. And yes, it is deeply adorable
In Atlas, it’s actually a good way to make sure his team take breaks. Because Jaune WILL take a nap in the middle of the day, whether Ren wants to stop training or not. So it becomes a regular part of their schedule
As a more humorous moment in the Twins AU (because GODS it needs it with all the angst Jaune will go through) can you imagine Yang's reaction to the thirsty Mom's in Atlas? Like "HEY! YOU LEAVE MY BROTHER ALONE BEFORE I PUNT YOU OVER THE WALL!"
I always found that scene to be more... cringey? Like Jaune is there looking ready to run the second he can.
Not to tangent you, but it’s canon evidence like this that has always made me pissed about the Jaune harem. Boy was freaked as hell
But yeah I can’t imagine Yang taking kindly to their very forward advances on her baby brother (Yang, I'm twenty minutes older than you are)
She doesn’t threaten them with violence, she’s not V1-2 Yang anymore, but she does get into a whole defensive rant at several of them right there at the crosswalk while Jaune stands there with a casserole thinking about how great it would be to sink into the ground and die
