Portugal during the late Jurassic was home to some of the most spectacular creatures to ever walk the Earth, from the colorful Draconyx to the enormous Lusotitan. But, this beauty was not without danger - fierce predators like Allosaurus and Torvosaurus also stalked these lands.
A short style experiment -- more like a brief ecology overview than a proper narrative short film.

Draconyx is another Styracosternan, from the Lourinhã Formation in Portugal. This formation was very similar to that of the Tendaguru and Morrisson from the Late Jurassic and as such, Draconyx probably filled a similar niche as Camptosaurus did in the Morrison Formation. It lived in the Tithonian age of the Late Jurassic, about 152 to 145 million years ago. It is known from a partial skeleton which lacked the skull. It was a small, facultatively bipedal horerbivore, about 3.5 meters long.

Awesome dinosaur names you've probably never heard of
Teratophoneus: A tyrannosaur whose name translates to 'monstrous murderer'. That's just about the most fitting name you can give to this kind of dinosaur.
Atrociraptor: Like 'Velociraptor' but infinitely more evil-sounding. Suggests that this dinosaur will seriously wreck your shit.
Dracovenator: The name of this Jurassic South African theropod translates as 'dragon hunter'. That is a badass name.
Xenoposeidon: Maybe it's just because I grew up in the 90s, but Xs make everything more awesome. The name means 'alien Poseidon' (referring to another dinosaur, Sauroposeidon), so it's sort of like a space dinosaur. Awesome.
Draconyx: The name means 'dragon claw', which is a big name to give a small herbivore. But it's still awesome, as anything with 'dragon' in it tends to be.
Ekrixinatosaurus: The name of this theropod dinosaur means 'explosion-born reptile'. So it's like a Michaelbaysaurus, then. The awesomeness of its name is rivalled only by how hard it is to spell.
